Tai Lung's theme gets blue piano keys because it's the color of the blue flames he summons from his paws to steal the Dragon's scroll. Lord Shen's theme gets red piano keys, because it's the color of the symbols painted on his tail feathers as well as the color of fire used to melt down his steel weapons in the factory he runs (and he also loves arson). Plus, most of the fireworks from the cannons he builds appear red. General Kai the Collector's theme gets green piano keys because he steals Chi from other warriors, carries Jade green bladed swords and turns his victims into Jade green zombies preserving them in jade green amulet stones on his belt.

A bit late, but I don't think Tai Lung has the powers to just summon flames. The flames probably came from the fraction of his claws against the pillar, and he moved at such velocity that the flames which came from it were heated up enough to become blue in color.

If he has the ability to summon flames at his will, he probably would've used them more often before. Marbles are not flammable, but they are able to create flames if they would be burning something else, in this case Tai Lung's hand. I'm pretty sure that due to his training, he is semi-immune to fire, but is also ignoring a lot of the pain, and he put out the flames as soon as shifu was defeated which shows they did hurt him.@@santiagolopez3909

Yeah, he has a real sense of tragedy to him. And the fantastic voice acting of Gary Oldman played an important role.

@@CosmicPIANO yes Gary oldman lends the voice of the character wonderfully with the tremors of that voice and that way of speaking there is something unique that we don't really feel about the last villain of the trilogy but I can't wait to see the villain of the 4th kung fu panda scheduled for march 2024
