Always been fascinated and interested as to why Ross uses upstrokes all the time, he's like the anti James Hetfield, have attempted to do it, but as someone who has played downstrokes/downpicking combined with economy picking, it's not fucking easy. I'd love to know what kicked this off for him.

It's rhythm. You have to know what sound you're going for and go for it, and don't think about. Your fingers and wrist will make the sounds you want. Everyone plays to their own musical cadence.

It still ain't Dirty though. I miss Dirty and Bill. The Ross/Dirty/Bill version of Cosmic Psychos that played around Melbourne in the 80s was the best live band in the world at the time.
