Cosmo gangs are here to steal energy!

Today, I am here at Timezone Botany to play a certain game that Cosmo alien gangs want to steal energy and you need to stop them with your laser shooting gun. The game is called Cosmo gangs by Bandai Namco, one of their old/new games. So yea, its a good game, and its quite new, even though it looks a bit dirty. :C

Arcade Achieves just released an old arcade shooter called "Cosmo Gang the Video" When I saw the cute little aliens you fight, I felt like I had seen them before. Turns out it's a spin off of the more elaborate mechanical shooter you see here called "Cosmo Gang". I used to see these things all the time at Chuck e Cheese and Arcades when I was little. And it's made by Namco. ... You know, Namco Museum would be a lot more interesting if that put more obscure stuff like this on those collections and not just Pac-man and Galaga for the millionth time and MAYBE Rolling Thunder if you're lucky.

To be honest, this thing is kinda too young to put in an arcade muesum, but ok haha. Cosmo Gangs does has some intresting history, and I'm sure they have been in some arcades (I'm wondering if you ever played the mechanical version).

@@game-azing Cosmo Gang was released in 1991. That's 30 years. In video game years, that is rather old. But I think you misunderstand. Arcade Achieves is a series of re-releases from HAMSTER of classic arcade games on digital storefronts such as PS4, XboxONE and Nintendo Switch. Each download costs around $8 and they've already putout games such as Pac-man, Metal Slug and Double Dragon. Cosmo Gang the Video is a Galaga clone with the Cosmo Gang characters slapped on it and it's pretty fun.

I didn't know they re-released Cosmo Gang again in Austrailia. I wonder if it will release in America as well, love this series.

This must’ve been a later version of it the original version (In the US) was Data East the Japanese version was Namco Edit: Oops realized your from New Zealand btw the original release for this game was 1990

The cameo is terrifying, lol. I mean, the epileptic flashing of the lazer guns and the shaking of the screen make it appear sort of violent looking rather than a family-friendly game, haha

Do you have any more information about this particular machine and when it may have been manufactured? Does it have a copyright year? I’m intrigued to learn why the dialogue from the Jammers and Bakuto are different here compared the 1990 release. It’s interesting that the manufacturers chose to go back on Data East’s localisation and make it more accurate to the Japanese original (The line “It’s Showtime! Make-Make Dance!” being completely unchanged on this variant as the most glaring example)

@@funny_lauren_epic_time it's definitely manufacturered by Bandai Namco from 2018, it is barley stated on the marquee, although it's hard to see as a chunk of the acrylic made UFO prop is blocking the way. I think Data East and Namco did team up for a bit to make their own English and Japanese versions back in 1990. I'm not too sure what you are talking about as of "Jammers and Bakuto".
