I have had that cameltoe issue with a Spiderman costume. Since then, I simply just wear protective sports gear underneath. It is a bit awkward to walk around with that hard plastic, but it is worth the hassle. People often do not understand how much suffering and pain a cosplayer goes through during an event as well as the time spent making costumes. In terms of photos, it is nice to make people happy if they can get photos with characters that they like. For many people, this is a rare opportunity.
