Cost Accounting Overview

The light just came on. I have struggled so much with the words variable and fixed. Now it's so understandable that I am ashamed that I didn't understand this before. Fixed: no matter how much is made, the dollar amount doesn't change when it comes to something in the overhead category (not direct labor or direct materials). Variable costs are the costs that change depending upon if you make more (it costs more) and it costs less because this time you made/produced less. I'm the turtle but I will eventually join you guys in the pond. My point is that something about your presentation meant that I got it in one pass. The other videos make it sound so difficult to understand. Just wanted you to know that thanks to you, I am not a slow learner. You simply know just how to make it plain. Now I gotta go do my cost accounting for this shrine project. Everybody who sees this video is going to want to buy one from me in your honor. I will start out producing my first 100 shrines. So, raw materials, W.I.P., finished shrines,.. / cost accounting says that equals $$$? 🙂
