Wrong again. The biggest was the 10.0 liter in the 2004 Roush Boss Concept. 429 SVO block bored to 600 cubic inches. Nascar 429 SCJ heads. 875 horse. 795 lbs. torque. Zero to 60 in 1.9 seconds. Good Lord!!! Never seen production though.

Do you Remember the 2007 - 2009 Shelby GT500's?...Shelby American Built a Prototype Shelby GT500 Call "CODE RED", this was to be the Future Shelby 1000! It was Built by Nelson Racing Engines aka NRE located in Chasworth, Ca., it was based on the 5.4L Shelby GT500 S/C Engine and it was a Twin Turbo setup using Both 91 Octane and E85 Custom Fuel System, putting out about 1200HP+/-! Now, I contacted NRE at that time and asked them what it would Cost to Duplicate a similar setup to a 2013/14 Shelby GT500 with 5.8L and they Quoted me a Price of $45,000.00 at that time!...I am Just Saying!...God Bless America! 😇

Sorry in advance for this long comment. First on a little side note. 5.8 isn't the biggest engine Ford ever used. Not by a long shot but to the more important conversation. Why in the world didn't you use your heads since you bought a short block? Paying 6k for new heads makes no sense to me. If you were going with new heads. Long block would have been the much better way to go. Most give a warranty on a long block. Short block isn't very common at all. You also paid way to much for a lot of things. I really wish I seen these videos much earlier to at least leave you something to think a out. I'm sorry but I feel like you were taken advantage of. Obviously doesn't mean that's what happened. So honestly nothing against the shop or people that did help you. I don't know them personally. It's why I said feels like based off much of the information in this video. For what you paid. You should have an engine built to handle 3000hp. There's completely 5.8 long blocks out there much cheaper that will handle the same power and more than you have now. I understand it's a 5.8 that came with the ca. So you wanted to stay true to that. So having a 5.0-5.4 built to handle 2500hp+ isn't really relevant here. Was a good option that said still. You should have never been talked out of the biggest blower either. It's cool you went with kennybell. They make great blowers. I know from experience building cars going back 20+ years. I've tuned many cars with them in the past. Great company and product. Again that said. Everyone wants to go faster. You get use to the power and you want more. Happens to everyone and you got a motor that will handle more power than I believe the 3.6 will make. Yes I know what they're rated to. Why someone told you. You would see 25lbs of boost with the bigger blower on your motor at that point is beyond me. If you have the motor you claim with the custom cams and 6k heads that flow a ton more air over stock heads. The motor is going to make less boost by a few pounds depending on how good those heads and cam are. The bigger the engine and the more efficient an engine moves air the lower the boost will be. Exhaust is also a factor. You still make power. It's just achieved with less boost. This is why when someone tells you they make 25 or 50lbs of boost it honestly doesn't mean shit as far as power goes. Many factors are involved to know the potential power. There's a big difference between say motor A which is stock. Than motor B that's modified with big cams and high flow heads. If both motors made 28lbs of boost. I guarantee the power is much different between the two of them regardless of the boost being the same. I'll give you a great example. Where I've seen many people make a mistake. That didn't have the experience or knowledge to know how to pick the right combination. Motor C you were told made 25lbs of boost in the car but it was never on a dyno. Then motor D made 15lbs of boost with the same blower and again wasn't on a dyno. No other information was available. Can you guess what motor most pick? If you said motor C. That's the one. Not knowing that motor D actually made more power even with less boost. This is why it's so important to understand how and why things work the way they do. The 3.6 is still not going to solve the problem any better than a 4.2 etc with having to much power. It's going to be the timing and fuel map that dictates how fast and hard the power comes in. The same could have been done with one of the bigger blower. Then later on when you wanted more power it's a simple pulley and tune change and you just add hundreds of hp. Now you need a new blower all together when that time comes for more power and it will lol. Honestly you should have went with a Procharger like a F1-X etc. It would have given you the ability to make less power now and much more later on. It's more manageable on the street because the boost isn't instant. So the torque is much lower on the hit. If it was an all out race car with good drag suspension and tire it becomes a little different conversation obviously. It's a ton of torque to deal with on a manual transmission setup. Don't remember what you said but I hope it's at least a triple. I wish you all the luck with it. Hated to be so negative but I'm just being honest.

BUT IT'S NOT OVER WITH. YOUR DRIVE TRAIN IS GOING TO BE SEVERELY BEAT UP BY THAT MONSTER LURKING UNDER THE HOOD. IT'S PROBABLY BEST TO REPLACE YOUR DRIVETRAIN COMPONENTS BEFORE THEY BREAK SO THAT YOU CAN SELL THEM IN GOOD CONDITION, TO OFF SET THE COST OF NEW BEEFIER DRIVE TRAIN COMPONENTS, THAT CAN HANDLE THAT MONSTER OF AN ENGINE.
