MPs got a raise of £2,212 this year whereas pensioners got a raise of £289 (not enough to cover the cost of one utility bill increase) So, almost 10 times the amount for MPs! Note how quick the triple lock was paused because pensioners would have got a windfall (around £500 WOW!) then note the reluctance to apply a windfall tax to energy companies who are making billions in profits. The only time the government are interested in pensioners is when voting time comes around! So, think on who paused the triple & who is responsible for our pensions being one of the lowest in Europe, albeit that we are one of the richest countries in Europe.
