Thanks for the video, last year, I lived in the Jomtien area close to Pattaya for 6 months and my monthly budget was $3K and that's with companionship with a regular Thai lady for 3x a week and not buying any lady drinks and barfines. Been eating Thai foods in the market not western food. I don't even smoke cigarettes/weeds & chew tobacco. I was planning to retire but changed my mind in the last minute. In my early 50's now and back to work in sunny Cali. Will do this again, next year.

Thai people are saying expenses are going up in Thailand 🇹🇭 as a foreigner it's still nothing like the increase in living costs back home. Bangkok has seen an increase in short-term rental prices of up to 20% in the last two years. I'm not sure about Pattaya. But I would think it could be the same.

Well ,you can bought pretty much cheaper almost everything in Tesco-Lotus and BIG -C and you can buy fresh food and vegetables on numerous Thai markets very cheap and tasty (30-40 BAHT per meal).
@paradise-adventures5 ай бұрын
Absolutely 💯 the fresh markets are a great place to buy meat, fruit, and vegetables. They are also not popular amongst tourists, if you don't mind going more local it's a great option for sure.
@borisisakovic44125 ай бұрын
@@paradise-adventures Local markets are very clean and I can see more and more foreigners buying there!You can find better quality for a discount price at least 40-60% than in average non expensive restaurant.

FYI, all beef is imported into Thailand, so that's why it's crazy expensive compared to chicken or pork
@paradise-adventures7 ай бұрын
That makes sense. I've travelled around Southeast Asia quite a bit. Never really see cows here. In Indonesia or the Philippines, you see them a lot.

@paradise-adventures yeah haha. It's also includes cheese, milk, and anything from a cow. It's just normally more expensive in 🇹🇭

@@WeixDraqz just a little correction, thailand do have milk producing cows. There isnt any mass production for cheese though so they are mostly imported.

@paradise-adventures6 ай бұрын
USD is the USA dollar. I already got you covered. The figures are on screen based on 100 baht. All you need to do is the basic math based on the prices I mention and what's provided on screen. e.g. if it's 50 baht it's half the price on screen, if its 200 baht it's double the price on screen. You have everything you need to work it out.

Wondering if Hua Hin has MRT and BTS like in Bangkok, and if it is possible to get around with public transportation? Thank you.
@paradise-adventures7 ай бұрын
No there is no trains in Hua Hin, actually Bangkok is the only place in Thailand that has a good public transport system. The only options in other parts of Thailand are some buses but they are often unreliable, or grab, taxis, tuk tuks or renting a vehicle.
@chev69017 ай бұрын
Thanks for the reply. Then is it possible to ride a bike (bicycle) to get around town? Not sure how big the city is and how bicycle- friendly the city streets are..

I'll give you the best advise you will ever get, of course you can take it or leave it, NEVER get on a motorcycle in Thailand, 100% death trap, 2 friends were killed this past winter in Hua Hin, if that does not scare you then carry on renting motorcycles. Both the people I knew are dead, both foreigners, both died, if they would have rented a car they would 100% be alive. I have not ridden a motorcycle in SE Asia for over 20 years and I never will get on one again, safety first, saving money and risking your life is totally not worth it for my wife and I
@paradise-adventures6 ай бұрын
I am a safe and experienced rider. Short term for me it's ok. But when I am staying in Thailand long-term. I will be buying a car for sure. I use grab car 50% of the time I am in Thailand and I only ever ride bikes outside of busy traffic areas.
