As 500 still in process shouldn't units completed and transferred would be 1500

what if in the beginning WIP there are 300 units completed - 60% done with materials and 40% with conversion. Do you add all 300 units and subtract at the ending WIP or do you only add the 180 and 120 respectively to the two components' units?

i.e: 300 in beginning WIP July 1st. (60% materials 40% conversion) 6,200 added during period. july 31st units in process: 450 (40% materials 30% conversion) these are apart of the same problem, what would be the units completed?

Any conversions on the beginning WIP are only accounted for in the FIFO method, someone correct if I’m wrong but in the weighted average method you use all your beginning WIP
