Uber is readily available (in San Jose) you can also use RideCR. They were great, clean, on time, and have private options. Link for their services is in my San Jose Vlog 😊

Thanks for all the info. For the international travel insurance the minimum coverage is $50,000 and for the local insurance company The requirement is $20,000?

As I Dominican, I need a visa to enter Costa Rica. But, I want to fly to Guatemala and the cheapest flight goes to Costa Rica first and then a 5 hrs wait for the next flight to Guatemala. Do you know if I can still fly into Costa Rica as long as I stay in the airport?

No problem! Feel free to let me know if you have other questions. And Yes it is. It’s literally a block away from the departure terminal. Maybe 5 min walk if that. You can see the terminal from the tent

Do they give you the choice of an oral test or is there only a nasal test they offer?

They did not ask me. They automatically did the nasal

Thank you so much for this information! I am wondering for hostels is it necessary to be vaccinated do they need the vaccine passport or is the qr health insurance ok ?

Properties may request vaccination but my hotels didn’t even ask my status. The Health pass is required vaccinated or not. I have heard of hotels in some countries requiring vaccination if you want to stay there, but I did not experience this in Costa Rica. But I would ask to be safe!

Today is Sunday April 16th , is there an entry requirement update? I am arriving San Jose on april20 2022 I read that vaccination card given to me by Walmart having 4 vaccines is enough and all what I need beside a return ticket. Any update or confirmation????

I would check the requirements as of today. They relaxed a lot. Use the link in the description to see Costa Rica’s current requirements

We were told that was not an option. You will have to purchase one on the spot (at whatever price) or be put on a return flight to the US. We all had to show the return flight

you dont need to wear masks anymore in costa rica, its optional now, the new president declared it 2 weeks ago
