That was a beautiful video! Hve been to CR many times but always did more surfing than fishing - idk why. Next time Its going to be 90% of fishing! 😊

Awesome video! Can you tell me what size line are you fishing with and the rod and reel you are using. I'm interested in getting a good set up for salt water fly fishing for big fish.

Far up north, could be two places: Upakla or Los Chiles, both very close to the border with Nicaragua

An this video is telling the world there fish here so u just screwed that up
@FlyFishingNation2 жыл бұрын
Let the world know. The water is under management and it's called Atlantic Tarpon Reserve. No access for DIY anglers. Every traveling angler has to book an official tour with the outfitter - it's a national park. Get your facts straight before you set sails to become one of a billion other keyboard avengers.

Way to expensive in costa rica... you can do the same if not better in cuba much cheaper
@FlyFishingNation4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely not. We have fished Cuba for the better part of ten years and we have fished literally every national park there too. Cuba is a completely different setup altogether. Watch the video again, we are catching these fish in freshwater far away from the ocean. And... it's cheaper than in Cuba. Check your facts.
@Unborn-Stillborn4 жыл бұрын
@@FlyFishingNation if you have fished cuba and it was expensive ... then you must have used companies like avalon. These are for foreigners who dont get the true cuban experience.. if you stay in a hotel in cayo guillermo you dont need any guide. Iv caught bones , permit , cudas etc.. from the hotel beach front and iv caught tarpon up to 30lbs in the lagoon at the back. No guide or licence required. If i want to catch massive tapon and many other deep sea fish id hire a local with a boat for less than $100 a day ... show me where in costa rica where you can get all that? If you dont send me details then we both know why...

Someone's had too much of it, it seems. Drink in moderation, and you won't get sick. Lesson to be learned there.
