of course!! It would've been a huge help to us consider how much it rained when we were there hahaha the garbage bags weren't the best, a dry bag would've been 10 times better! And great to see wildlife with binoculars. have fun!

Thanks for the dry bag tip- ive never even heard of them, but im sure it will save me and my family headaches when we go. Were going the first week of november. When did you go? Do you know if the rain should be calming down by then?
@lina.lecompte3 жыл бұрын
yesss, honestly dry bags are such a good thing to have there! I think we went around July! By November, the rain should kind of be calming down! From what I understand (and you can definitely look this up to be sure!), the rainy season is from May- November, and the "dry season" is from November - April

Thank you for your precise advice! :) Is it safe to walk at night? Which areas should I avoid?
@lina.lecompte4 жыл бұрын
hi sorry for the late reply! I would say for the most part we found it pretty safe. But then again, I was walking with my whole family and that includes my dad. In terms of what areas to avoid, I really don't know sorry! hope you have a good time though!
@melanyhernandez17254 жыл бұрын
Limón and San José have some really nice attractions but avoid walking around those places at night, unless you're like with a group or something

Hey, we are planning to go to Costa Rica in december, but my friend is a little uncomfortable because she heard that it may be unsafe to travel as a woman (we're both girls). Did you ever have the feeling that you're unsafe or in danger?
@justariacr4 жыл бұрын
Golgi Apparat Hi, I’m from Costa Rica and I actually have never heard that. Still, it’s always better if you both travel together and if you feel uncomfortable you can just seek a comfortable-looking establishment, tell the person there your situation and leave until you feel better or ask some one if they can help you.
@lina.lecompte4 жыл бұрын
Hi, sorry for the late reply. I never felt like I was unsafe or in danger, but then again, I was also traveling with my family and my dad was there with me the whole time. But from what I've heard, it's safe for the most part - obviously do your research about which areas to avoid, and follow the usual precautions you would anywhere else

Hi, did you rent navigation as well? How did you figure it out?
@lina.lecompte3 жыл бұрын
Hi, not totally sure what you mean by renting navigation... we just relied on Google Maps and the maps.me app for navigation, we made sure to have the maps downloaded to our phones so they worked when we didn't have wifi.

Costa Rica seems super expensive to get into parks.
@lina.lecompte5 жыл бұрын
I can't quite remember, but I don't think it was too unreasonable.
@6iancarloa5 жыл бұрын
Yes, the fee is $15 per park 👎
@lina.lecompte5 жыл бұрын
Giancarlo Acuna considering a lot of other countries, that really isn’t that bad . Where I live you’d pay $30 to get into one of our main attractions.
@6iancarloa5 жыл бұрын
@@lina.lecompte where do you live? I live in Indiana and we only pay $5 to visit a National Park. I am traveling in a month with a backpacker budget, let see how it goes 🙈🙈🙈
@lina.lecompte5 жыл бұрын
Giancarlo Acuna Vancouver, Canada! There’s some attractions here that are costly but most of the parks are free. Also tons of places in Europe will charge more than $15 for attractions, it really isn’t that bad. If i were you I’d find cheap hostels (but ask around and find safe ones!), and seek out local cheap food spots and definitely spend the money for the biggest attractions - otherwise I feel like you might end up feeling like you missed out. There’s tons of Facebook groups or I’m sure a reddit for backpackers where people could give you better suggestions than what I know!
