Costa Smeralda Cruise Tour 2022

Costa Smeralda is an Excellence-class cruise ship currently operated by Costa Cruises, a subsidiary of Carnival Corporation & plc. At 185,010 gross tonnage (GT), she is the second largest vessel of Costa Cruises after Costa Toscana . Costa Smeralda is also the second cruise ship in the world to be fully powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), making Costa the second cruise line to operate a ship running on LNG, after sister brand, AIDA Cruises, became the first in 2018.
Her inaugural cruise sailed on 21 December 2019.
Costa Smeralda has 20 decks and a length of 337 metres , a draught of 8.8 metres , and a beam of 42 metres. Passenger capacity is 5,224 with double occupancy and 6,554 at maximum capacity housed within a total of 2,612 passenger cabins. The crew complement is 1,646. The system gives the vessel a service speed of 21.5 knots (39.8 km/h; 24.7 mph).

Bah può essere bellissima quando non è piena. Ma quando c'è la folla a bordo non funziona nulla. Non parliamo dei 2 teatri microscopici

Hai fatto un ottimo video, bravo! Critica costruttiva: - Hai avuto poca attenzione alla cucina che pare sia il punto forte della Costa Smeralda. - Nessun notturno di rilievo… In ogni caso il tuo video è uno dei migliori sulla nave da crociera Costa. Hai sempre e solo usato un cellulare? Quale?

Grazie, beh una volta giravo molto per la nave e riprendevo tutto. Ora sono un pò più attento alla privacy, la sera e nei ristoranti c'è sempre tanta gente che non è detto gradisca di finire su KZbin. Comunque non posso dire che la cucina sia il punto forte di Smeralda, non ho trovato differenze dalle altre Costa. Non ho utilizzato un cellulare ma una DJI Action, per questo ci sono pochi video di notte, fa molta fatica con bassa luminosità.

We are going on this ship in April. We don’t want to buy a drinks package because there are 6 of us. Do they really make you pay for water?

They do. We have sailed with Costa for years and are going on the Smeralda next week. The drinks package is really a necessity and ends up being good value in our opinion.

As every cruise lines bottled water is not included, in the buffet restaurant water is free at the dispenser, as coffee, milk, hot water and fruit juices. At the main restaurant you can ask for a glass of water for free. Anyway is not like Royal Carribbean where you can take lemonade, iced tea etc. A can of soda or a bottle of water is around 4 euro. As I don't drink alcoholic beverages or coffee I never bought a drink package in 43 cruises. The less expensive drink package in Costa is 25€ so the same of buy 6 bottles of water or can of soda per day, for me it's not worth the expense. If you multiply for 6 it's really a huge expense. I'm not sure but there's should be a package for only water, maybe 12 bottles at the price of 10 but I'm not sure.
