The range of Delonghi super auto machines all have more or less the same brewing mechanism and capabilities. What you get with the higher end machines is a better quality outer casing, a more advanced user interface, a greater range of pre-set drinks and some additional features.

Hi Chigz, great video, I'm looking at this one myself, the mug to go feature seems great because I fill a thermos every morning before work, could you tell me when you press the "+" button under it if you can program a certain amount of coffee to go with the specific volume your thermos can handle. For example my thermos holds 450ML, could I program the mug to go for 450ML, save the profile and every morning make a 450ML thermos of coffee or would I need to make multiple coffees to get to that volume ? I haven't found an answer online or on the user manual I've found online, I would greatly appreciate the help. How are you getting along with the machine 1 week later? Thanks

I can’t recommend this machine so far unfortunately after 2 months of use the coffee is still not fulfil my expectations for the price. The Delonghi Eletta Top makes a significantly more professional looking cup of coffee at almost half the price (if you find it on sale) with much fewer variables to play around with. The bean adapt tech looks like a gimmick to me I can’t see a huge difference. Annoyingly of course you have to wait at least 5 expressed coffees to see a difference but even after that I can’t say I do.

Wonder how reliable are these coffee machines. I would be angry if they break up after few years.

How hot are the milk based drinks please I like very hot lattes

No need to worry about temperature. I like hot coffee too but even when i don’t pre-warm my coffee mug, I can still get hot enough coffee from this machine. The problem I have is so far I haven’t been able to replicate the silky and creamy smooth cappuccino coffee at the coffee shops. Sorry to say the end result looks and feels more like an instant coffee with frothy milk on top. I am in the process of gradually changing the grinder settings to finer in the hope this will result in a better coffee but not holding my breath. The Delonghi Eletta bought for my parents’ in-law does a much better job at consistently churning out coffee like at an artisan coffee shop and that’s an older model.
