I got dragged to this with my parents. I was a kid. OMG I did not want to go. I won't lie. He was really good. I left thinking who is Andy Williams and then I saw him with Eddie Fisher and Bobby Darrin singing Do Re Mi. I was SOLD. That was amazing. Thanks Andy.

Andy hid his Italian ancestry really well, when I was young I had no idea, now I see a familiar unmistakable Italian look to he and his brothers, it's neither here not there but; you write; “chills from hearing him sing the tune from “The Godfather“ well”, he sang everything in a way no other could, other singers had their rightful place but theirs had more than Andy's to do with charisma and/or promotion, hype, fan's fixation, but on voice alone there was no worthy competitor, hype aside, Andy Williams had an unbeatable voice, range strength, duration and sensitivity, hands down. Capiche!? 😯😂

This is a live performance...many years after he recorded these songs. He can't duplicate the original recording. This orchestra cannot duplicate the original recording, but I think they did a great job. I agree with you about how different he sounded. There are a number of reasons why this live version couldn't compare to the songs as we remember them. I don't know what year this concert was, and he has to sing along to the live music. Overall he sounded good, but I agree with you to a point. I attended 4 concerts of his between 1980 and 1990...but that was BC...before children.

He has already been handsomely rewarded by us all over a lifetime, here on earth, and they say God gives out our talents and our own effort in training perfects it. What a lovely guy on stage, always charming, respectable an image of success and stability. Whatever he was like in private, for our part as fans he couldn't have presented any better. Beats the rest and compliments Dean Martin another lovely, sting but calm and gentle guy. True gentlemen. Inner strength is far stronger than that exhibited in today's violence and ignorance.
