My husband and I wanted to say a HUGE thank you for posting your series of Bestway pool videos!!!! You made the whole process look so easy and really convinced us that this was a great purchase! You really should be getting royalties!!Our model is slightly different than yours but the assembly concepts were exactly the same. We barely referred to the instructions - we sat as a family to watch your videos before starting and then dug right in! 30 minutes was a JOKE for sure, but we did it! Thank you for helping us make the most out of this summer when everything in our part of Canada is closed for the foreseeable future, we will make our own fun instead!!
@haloproductions51115 жыл бұрын
THANK YOU!! This video put ice on my rage that was generated by the complete and total lack of ACTUAL assembly instructions. You hit EVERY point of frustration in your video. My neighbor and I assembled the entire pool in 29 minutes and 57 seconds!!!! LMBO. More like 3-4 hours of chilled out assembly. 30 minutes for assembly...yeah right. Kids enjoyed several hours in the pool already. THANKS AGAIN!!

How long was the set up from beginning to end? Not counting water fill up
@pooatpauls106 жыл бұрын
Took me over an hour to make the ladder!! The UK spec ones have a removable step set on the outside, then a dummy set of legs that hold the structure in place, just with no actual steps so it cannot be used. All on a quick release system. Quite neat, but a pain in the ax! to build. My pool is filling now, been 18 hours now and still an inch below the outlet! Also the UK pools only have one outlet, not two as here.

Thanks again for the video. I finally set mine up took about 4 days !!!! But I upgraded a few things. I changed my ports to 1.5" so allow better flow though the system and also installed a Salt/Chlorine generator. An EASY mod you can do, so you can leave the solar heater if you want, is put in a 1.5" pvc pipe w/ ball valve between the caps on the heater. I then open and close the ball valve to adjust how much water i want to by pass the heater. to attach use 1-1/2 in. PVC Box Adapters (got mine from home depot) and sand off the lettering, so there is a flat surface to seal up against the rubber gasket . Make sure to put the spin on cap on, and then pvc cement it to the pipe using a junction.

I want to do salt as well. Do I just need the generator and some one suggested glass instead of sand??
@cueballsi4 жыл бұрын
@@MzJoyZ29 I used the intex salt chlorine generator. To be honest. do the math and follow the guide and put in 10% less salt that what you calculate... the machine is very temperamental, and sometimes you will get a high slat error. You can trick the system by putting a low flow of hose water near the inlet. As for the sand filter, I used Clorox filter sand plus, which is zeolite, or zeosand. NOTE you use less than regular sand... and on occasion i do get sand in my pool, but my intex vac picks it up.

My daughter and I set this up in 2019. We found that as the water begin to fill she began to smooth the bottom by putting on non-slip socks AKA Hospital socks. When the water had an inch to 2 inch in the bottom we were able to move it by stomping towards the wall. The pool does not have one Wrinkle in it now!!. He also failed to say it's an absolute must to have pavers underneath the legs of your pool! If you do not as the pool begins to fill the legs will move and settle & your pool will be unlevel. Great video, thanks. I live in hot, humid SW Louisiana. Trying to pass the horizontal pipes through pool’s sleeves was an exercise in patience, ......until I shot some talcum powder into the sleeves and the insertion became first cousin to instantaneous. All I have left to do is attach the pump and filter, then go to Wally World to get a pool chemical kit, a brush, some sand. Once all that stuff has been put to bed, it’s time to put on my swimming suit and escape the humid heat of the Pelican State. Thanks again. Ooh, one mo’ thing. In Jan or Feb I am going to buy a Jeep. Ditto what others have said about their instructions. Not that great. I bought this pool summer 2017 and used it all summer. Loved it. Didn't set it up in 2018. Now in 2019, just set it up. Used your video as a reminder of how to set it up. But now I am seeing very slow leak. Argh! The pool has only been used one season and was put away super carefully. It seemed really rugged. I hoped that I could get many years of service without any leaks. Some patch material came with it, but no glue. So heading to Home Depot to get that. If you have any tips on patching, would appreciate. As my brother in law says "It's never easy!"

You are dead on about the amount of time it takes to put this together. It took me almost 30 minutes just to assemble the ladder! And our local pool experts recommended 4-6 inches of sand plus a ground cover to put under the pool. Easy to level, we built a framework around the entire pool area to contain the base, once H2O is in nothing moves.

Thanks for making the video. I bought this pool last year. Used the thin tarp under the pool and tossed it at the end of the season. Bought a 16 x 20 heavy duty tarp this year. Has grommets into which I drove stakes to hold it in place. This bottom of the pool is much more enjoyable to walk on this year. I did not put the legs inside the band. I totally missed that in th instructions but now I see the drawing. Used a level on them to make sure they were straight to support the weight. Looks good and seems to be fine. Also, I added the heater late last season and seemed to have more trouble keeping the chemicals balanced, so not even using it this year. It only increase the temp by one or two degrees anyway. Looks like they have a larger solar heater this year. Last year 4'x8'.

I was reading reviews on the new pool we just bought (this one) and saw your post with the KZbin link -- I really think you did a good job. We are trying to figure out how we are going to set it up - it just intimidates me a little, but you did a good job making it seem a little easier.. I just don't know if myself and my three sisters can do it. We found a handyman man and have asked him to set it up (or help us set it up). I'm gonna show him your video and make sure he is up for the job before he starts - that way i feel confident that he will be able to complete it... (I'm most worried about the ground part - and make sure is level enough and what not - I like the idea of the wood under each post) we definitely don't need the water heater though - Fresno CA is 110 on a hot hot day..

I have to say that this Costco pool purchase was awesome for what you get. I totally agree 30 minutes is a joke. The hardest part was leveling the ground and I had clay like soil. I would say another strong point is to layer the bottom of the pool well with multiple tarps or something to keep any sharp rocks from possibly tearing it with a pinhole. The solar works great and if you get those floating solar covers your pool can get up to 90 degrees (Summertime). I mean you really cant beat this for around 400 dollars! If you shop around you will see the same size pool is nearly double the price and you dont get the solar and cleaning items. One thing to be aware of is that the hoses are cheap and after time will start to crack and become brittle if in the direct sun. I did shop around and found a cheaper source for how replacement. Leslies was too expensive and wanted $20 for one hose that was like 3'.

Thanks! We have never had a pool before and are struggling with the filter and greenness...the website offers NO phone number or access to help. I backwashed and rinsed it again, hopefully we fixed the problem! Our PSI has always been over 10, never the 6.5 that was suggested. We also left the cover off for 2 days, could that cause the greenness? And about 1.5 weeks ago I left the filter off for 2 days. It has been set up for about 4 weeks. If I fixed the problem, how do I get rid of the greenness that is already there?!?! And I find the vacuum doesn't work nearly as well as I expected....I highly recommend a vacuum video. Oh wow, that is aLOT of info haha, I'd appreciate any help you can offer. THANKS so much for the ladder suggestions :)

+Char's Bucket of Books leaving the cover off itself won’t necessarily cause algae bloom, but your chlorine levels fall quicker. Sounds like you need to shock it. Then scrubbing pool and backwashing as you are should help. If still having issues with water, you can take a sample to a local pool store that tests water. Hope that helps.

Any insight into what the pressure on the filter should be? Instructions say lower than .45 but Im at .55 with new setup. Backwashed sand and water is clear but no change. I am using the solar panel and wondering if thats causing the increased pressure.

The sides of the pool look curved inwards is that normal? I've read that they're suppose to straighten out when close to being full, but when I built mine and filled it they curves stood the same. Doesn't look safe.

Hi, thanks for the video. I am curious about electrical connection. Could you elaborate any special extras you had to do to connect the pump. Did you have to acquire an electrician to run a line etc?
