Thanks for this awesome video!! It was so helpful. I’ve been loyal to Costco forever and was considering a Sam’s membership, but will definitely stick with Costco after watching your video. Organic and healthy foods are a priority for me, and Costco totally wins that department.

i have both memberships. sams is closer to me. i like Sams for their scan and go feature where you scan the item on the sams app and you can skip the line. you just show ur reciept as usual at the exit. It so much more convenient. I think costco has more variety overall and healthier choices especially with frozen foods especially asian foods. on a side note the almond toffee candy @32:27 looks good lol have u tried it?

Haha I think one of my professor friends in grad school bought it and took it to our class. I haven’t bought it cuz it’s such a huge pack! Maybe for Halloween I’ll pick it up 🤣

Great video, Ms. Ming! I too am a dual member (Costco Executive + Sam's Plus). I do love Costco but the biggest gripe I have with them is the inability to get realtime inventory at their stores on their website or app. They are intentional in this as they want you to be on a damn "Treasure Hunt" each and every time you step in their stores. Who does that benefit? Costco stock holders. They think they are clever in hoping I'll "discover" items I didn't know I need, in addition to what I'm going there for.. but that's not how it works in my world. I need to know with near certainty a store I'm going to will have what I specifically need. Sam's Club nails this for me.. I know with 99% accuracy they will have what I need that week. I still go to Costco four+ times a month but I refuse to meander through their isles on a regular basis.... which reminds me of another gripe that ties into this.. Costco's near weekly decision to move products around the store.. again, that only benefits their stock holders as you *might* buy more items.. for me I'm wasting my time trying to figure out where items are on my list. Super annoying...

I am a Costco fan, for their organic products, produce, meat, and sometimes even clothing/shoes. Costco is closer to me as well.

Costco is the only store for me. Costco has better quality and prices and I buy many of the items at Costco when they are on sale. I also have the Costco Citi Visa card which I use everywhere. I’m also glad I bought Costco stock over 30 years ago.

Groupon sometimes offer Sam’s membership discounts too. TBH, went to both Costco is worth the membership. Sam’s has some cheaper stuff but be careful to check the quantity is less/smaller. It’s good to have choices and competition overall.

Yea yea for some items Sam’s actually have bigger pack, but not a lot of promotion. If I only wait until Costco runs promotions to buy household items, it’s generally always will be cheaper~

The only thing I don’t like is the steaks 🥩 are blade tenderized, I don’t see any benefit in doing this, since steaks are tender. I would understand if they blade tenderized a tough type of meat but not steaks especially if its prime. Thanks Ms. Ming, happy Friday🌷☀️💕

I do not have a Sam's Club near me; but I am satisfied with the prices, variety, and quality at Costco. I have the Executive Costco Anywhere Card and use it to charge at other places; that way, it more than pays for my annual membership. Just sticking to one Club membership would be a savings in itself in the long run. I buy my non-perishables and frozen items at Costco. I prefer my veggies fresh from Chinatown...they usually have the variety of veggies I like and the prices are usually cheaper there also.

I love Chinese vegggies! We have more variety of vegetables in China! But I don’t have access to a China close 🥲thanks for sharing!! I feel like for Costco we definitely got our membership money back~ for Sam’s we only got the normal membership of $50. Probably only spend $1000 in total there per year. Some of them are toilet papers and diapers and wipes 😅

Compare Sam’s Club to Costco gas you better go with Costco gas is better. Reason is that Costco is top tier gasoline. Cheaper to buy ground beef in a tube ask to get one. Just remeber each state has different food items compare to what you see in her state. Costco batteries are Duracell brands. They have other brand items under Costco brands.

I am on the fence about getting a Sams/Costco membership. Here in Texas, the local grocery store steak prices have been going up quite a bit and I was thinking maybe Sams/Costco has better prices. However compared to the prices you showed me, our local grocery stores have similar or even better than the prices you showed me. What area you you reporting from?

We use to be members of both, but Sam's Club keeps closing their stores here in Arizona. First they closed the one in Phoenix, then they closed the one in Prescott.

@MsMinglifestyle I know. I was sad when they closed the Sam's Club in Phoenix. We only lived 3 blocks away. I could walk there. The one in Prescott was 1 hour drive away. I thought it was pretty stupid that they closed the one in Phoenix. It's the capital of Arizona.

I have both memberships and like both for different reasons. At Sam's I love their French bread, but that has been discontinued. Member's Mark toilet paper and paper towel is premium. Love Costco samples and their variety in frozen foods. Costco has the best sales on clothes and random sales throughout the store. I'm always looking for that * or prices ending in .97. it has me buying things i dont need. 🤣 Costco needs the scan and go like Sam's. Costco seems to have more trust issues than Sam's. Love Sam's free tire rotation with tire purchase. I find Costco shipping confusing. At Sam's I just have to spend $50 and my shipping is free. Costco is more clean and organized.

Charmin toilet paper doesn’t break down fast. Do your own test by putting your toilet paper in a glass and leave it for a day. See how it had broken down in 24 hours into pieces.

I don't totally agree. I bought the bounty brand paper towel from costco, and it's horrible. It's so thin, and I'm going through it as fast as 2 days. This is the same brand and amount that I bought from Sams. Also, I'd buy organic food from HEB before any of the stores.

I usually buy the Kirkland brand from Costco and it’s great!
