Hi Cody, a good way to remember the difference between seSenta 60 and seTenta is that S comes before T in the alphabet. See highlighted letters seSenta/60, seTenta/70.

I got a few wrong too, usually around the 6-7 similarity. The weird number names are a small price to pay for every word being pronounced the way it’s spelled!

60 y 70… Lo PEOR. My brain just can’t do it. Y lo de “dos en punto” y “doce en punto…” A huge part of la comprensión auditiva es acostumbrarte al hecho de que se faltan de dejar claras las separaciones entre palabras que empiezan y terminan con las mismas vocales. I can’t believe it even tripped up Maria… Well, makes ME feel a little better. I love Cody going “oh, por fin…” half-heartedly in response to the vacation thing. You guys are awesome. Great video.

I live in Ecuador, so the dollar is used and the big numbers not as much a problem. I checked exchange rate on the almuerzo. Its about the same here. 6 & 7 a huge problem for me. I play music in the orchestra. Constantly directing us to compás numbers (measure) in the partituras (sheet music). It forced me to learn the lower numbers, 1-300. 500, is slowly coming. I have it some days and forget others. Local don't understand my 12 & 2.

It's a very common mistake. It's hard to get that little "t" from "setenta".

That was an absolutely super video you two! Great, great exercise. I only got one wrong, but i had the luxury of repeatedly listening to Maria say the number as many times as i needed. For me, 186,148 was the hardest number. I made a dumb mistake, i mistook the "trece" for "tres" and wrote 3,000 instead of 13,000. That was my only error. I have no idea what a Colombian peso is worth so I couldnt compare the prices to those in the US. Thank you both again for the awesome challenge! I really enjoyed it very much!
