The vinyl bubble embellishments on the petals came out so beautifully and the finished dress and accessories were perfect. That bead army overview was also intimidating - good on you for pushing through (and enduring a finger infection as a result of the battle).

absolutely gorgeous! as to the skirt, there's no way to make it much lighter- it just needs a corset underneath to support and distribute the weight! that's really the only way to comfortably wear skirts this massive. the movie dress has the corset structure built in, but a separate garment would work just as well

I know that for the stage show Wicked, they built the skirt off of the hips. As in, there is A LOT of boning from the waist, as the skirt is around 50 lbs. I remember watching a behind-the-scenes video of the Broadway show on here, and it was fascinating.

This popped up in my feed because I've been going mad for everything Wicked lately and I am SO glad it did! My mum was a seamstress many years ago (she made ALL of my clothes until I got into Jordache jeans 😂), but i never took up the craft as I now wish I would have. Seeing you make this dress awakened something in me and I'm breaking out my sewing machine (once I find it under years of storage boxes😊) as soon as I finish writing this. You are so down-to-earth and funny and beautiful... you make me happy just watching you, especially seeing the results!! Omg my best friend has that phobia of holes. She nearly had a panic attack when we were touring Texas tech and came across the library. She also is afraid of balloons because she never knows when they're going to pop and hates stickers because of the germs. I'm almost 40 now, but I've known her since before I could drive, and she lived down the street from me.. my mom and her dad were actually friends first and we only became friends because we were weird, and walked to middle school together.. Our first encounter was in 1st grade, but she was popular and I wasn't... But what tickles me, is I thought she looked like Alanis Morrset with light features, and she thought I looked like Alanis with my dark hair and brown eyes 😂 Last time we visited was after covid shutdowns.. and she is still my best friend.. no need to communicate 24/7 but I always go to her for major life events.

You may find it a bit easier for glueing rhinestones if u get hot fix ones and the gun that takes a lot less time for attaching rhinestones And most come with dif size ends for dif sizes too
