Thanks for posting! I am thinking of buying on for this 2024 summer!

Yeah it's been great so far! Quiet, gives out nice cold air, compact. Definitely a good purchase for the price! Specially when my strata does not allow window ac's, that limits my choices

Can you share with me the length and width of the window kit adapter (not the window kit) - the one with the round rectangular shape? Thanks

Where dose the drainage hose go to ? Probably a silly question
@biesasuk10 ай бұрын
Hose can be connected to the back of the unit and drained externally. To be honest I was running this unit all summer long and I didn't drain it once. It evaporates if your climate is not so humid during summer months

My 10000 says it doesn't need the drain line if in cool - only in dehumidify mode. Is this true? I don't need to hook up a drain line? I have on at the bottom and about mid way up for continuous draining.

Great question. I would like to know too.

Someone asked me this previously in the comments. I've been running it all summer long, in Van city, BC and I haven't drained it once. On the other hand if you in humid environment like Toronto or Chicago, most likely you will need to drain it or connect extraction hose for the water to drip.

thanks for the well explained review

Hope it helps! I've been running it for the whole week now during evenings after I I get home from work and still works perfectly fine. It's even to small for my living room and dinning room, but over 1-2h it cools really nicely and does the job well!

Is it expensive to run it

Hi question did you cut the adjustable hose holder to fit on the windowv
@biesasuk5 ай бұрын
I don't remeber if I did, but it comes with two pieces which can be attached to make an extra long cover for the window. I think mine fitter, but even if you have to cut it, simple wood saw or metal saw will do it no problem.

Did your hose keep falling out of the AC? And also after how long of use did you drain it?
@biesasuk Жыл бұрын
No, never had an issue with a hose, it locks in and stays. I haven't drained it once since I bought it. I think it evaporates with air circulation. Mind you, climate here in Vancouver where I live is not so humid, so that plays a big part too. So far I love it. It keeps the last settings, timer works well, no complaints so far
@Dedell000 Жыл бұрын
@@biesasuk I had the issue of the ventilation hose falling only the first night. I tried to drain it once because I thought that it stopped because it was full, but after I read that once it reaches the temperature it stops. I am in Quebec and there’s a lot of humidity I thought that I would have to drain it a lot but no it’s been going for at least 16h a day for about 2 weeks and didn’t have to drain it. Thanks for you vidéo by the way!

@@Dedell000 about this hose issue, I'm not so sure. I don't have any problems to be honest. Duct tape! Haha. For me works fine and been running today all day since outside is 27+ no problem.

doesn't it seem pretty noisy?
@biesasuk Жыл бұрын
no, I have an old LG, same 10k btu and that one is definitely much louder then this. Window units for sure are more quite since whole motor and compressor is sitting outside

I keep having to drain the water. It won’t last long. Absolutely won’t last an hour before I have to drain.
@biesasuk Жыл бұрын
Maybe you live in a very humid environment? Since I bought it and used it almost every day and still I haven't drained water, not even once 🤔
@bucktooth002 Жыл бұрын
Wow, I only drain once every two years.

Single hose units are a scam!!
@biesasuk Жыл бұрын
I agree, it's not the best option, but that is only option if you live in townhouse with strada who don't allow you any window ac or any professionally installed ac equipment in the home, that is the only option left. So far I'm very happy with it.

I used to think that as well until i insulated the hose with a heat wrap made for portable ac. %50 percent more effecient. Night and day diff.. and i was doing van life at the time with heat blating thru the windows.. a little research goes along way!
