What a wonderful video. Your mum must have loved her thoughtful gifts and the birthday tea. As for your recent reading, I have read and reread Lucy Bostons books, and I'm lucky to live near her house. The house and gardens are evident in the books and I was lucky enough for Lucy to show me around the house when she was alive. Her daughter in law now cares for it - it is the oldest and longest continually inhabited house in the country!

I adore the Green Knowe books! My aunt introduced me to them when I was nine years old and I fell in love with the series. Have you read The Stones at Green Knowe? It’s the story of a boy who lived there when the very first Green Knowe house was being built and I didn’t know it existed until a few years ago.
