My aunt and uncle and their family lives just as you cross from Pickensville into Columbus down the first blacktop on the left as you cross the state line, and I live just thirty minutes away just outside Aliceville on the Greene/Pickens County line

You must have some pretty liberal laws about spraying from aircraft in the USA! - over here it has pretty well been totally banned except for fungicide use in potatoes and occasionally some sort of moth where the caterpillars are attacking pine woodlands and killing or severely injuring trees. However that herbicide has clearly done an excellent job for you in that new woodland, the comparison of treated and untreated is amazing. Will it have to be sprayed again in perhaps 2-3 years or will the trees pull away and shade it out?

Hey Tim! take it from a 60+year thats had front in grapple for 10+ years moving heavy long timber or short timber for that matter, you better CHECK YOUR LOADER FRAME very so often causes the torque developed with those logs can "hairline" crack that frame and cause you a major a$$ ache! Well, I know I ain't telling you nothing, you been running heavy equipment for a long time and I was a farmer, just saying you don't won't to mess up that new JD just because it will pick it up doesn't mean it will handle it...just my two cents worth...

Why is it called chip-n- saw?
@carlwilliams8354
@carlwilliams8354 7 жыл бұрын
Brian Gardiner Chip-N-saw is a general term used for smaller diameter tree length logs that are sold by weight to sawmills that are set up for small logs. They are merchandised into standard lengths debarked and pass though a double chipping head that cuts the first two sides flat. Then the log continues to a saw to pull boards off and leave a cant. That type of mill is called a chip n saw.

that 50 foot strip the hellicapter missed could become a beding for the deer, I would complain to much with it right next to the shooting house.

Surprised that you're not wearing fume respirator mask and glasses and all skin being covered when using the chemical spray unit, especially after having the operation on your neck, just an observation not faulting your work, I enjoy your vid's. From wet and windy England. Take care.

You were talking about using fire to control understory. I noticed that most of you're planted stand was loblolly. Control burning loblolly is hard to do. You using chemicals is a much better way to control understory.
