Great review! I’m on the fence between this bag and the Aer travel

Thank you! I am dropping a video tomorrow that has the Aer TP 3. You should check it out!

Great review! How would you rate the laptop padding/pocket/ease of access when compared to the mini MLC 30L? I am deciding between the two to decide which to use for my upcoming work+leisure trips.

Im actually looking forward to your comparison too the aer travel pack. I am unsure about which to get.

Fantastic!! I'm working on that review now actually. I have been thoroughly testing the TP and have just one more trip before I finalize my thoughts and video. Honestly you can't go wrong either way. If you're on a time crunch let me know if you have questions about either!

Just subscribed, I’m loving your videos. I find it really helpful you talk about sizing regarding airlines. Any chance you can review TNF’s Voyager base camp bag?

Hey! So sorry for the delay I have been traveling for work. I am so happy you enjoy my videos. I am slowly trying to improve quality and engagement. I am about to review the Aer TP3 and the Bellroy venture sling. However that Basecamp bag looks so good! I may have to pick one up. I am operating on a small budget so I may have to wait a bit to see if I can work it out. That being said, it look super solid!

Note that this review is of the previous version. The current Allpa 35L does have a water bottle holder, and I'm sure it has a number of other differences.

Thanks for pointing that out! I may need to get my hands on the newer version.

Helpful video! Did you end up keeping the Allpa?

So I actually returned it. Not because I didn't like it. I was stacking it up against the Aer TP3 which fit my needs a bit better. I have been working on a video for it but have been traveling the last few weeks. Finally returning home and will be putting a video out on it. You cannot go wrong with this bag thought. Ultimately the deciding factor for me was no water bottle holder and the Aer TP3 held it shape better. That may not be important to others.

I hate the big mesh cover over the main compartment on these bags. (RHS at 2.34 in video). A waste of space I leave open all the time on my current Tortuga. has anyone had any luck cutting it out, or a similar bag without it? on the fence with this, patagonia black hole mini but if I can find a backpack that doesn't have the random extra mesh I'd love it. thanks!

I can totally see that being an issue. I would be interested to know too if anyone has cut it out.

Very helpful. I am trying to pack for a two week trip to Alaska. I am a +70 and so is my husband. I am thinking that this would be a good pack for each of us. We are in good shape generally speaking. Any thoughts? Is this the pack for us?

This is one of my favorite back packs. I think for your trip it would make a great choice. The rainfly that comes with it is super handy. The only other bag I recommend at least looking at is the Aer TP3. I posted a video about it and it is a solid contender as well. Have fun on your trip 🙂. I have a friend who lives in Alaska - I desperately need to make the trip. I have been told its beautiful.

@@david_does Thanks so much for getting back to me. You are so kind to do so and a big help.

Thx for an excellent review. Apparently interwebs agrees this things rips easy as well (along w/other defects). Not sure y maker is not aggressively discounting price. Seems to be many other better built bags at similar or less cost. Tho this bag does look great. Hard pass for me.

Thank you! I ended up going with the Aer TP 3. It is a bit heavier but I have no fear of it ripping. It has been a pretty faithful travel companion. It distributes the weight so much better.

@@david_does I’m at impasse between Aer TP3 and pakt 35L v2. Osprey Farpoint 40L is outlier, I like $ but yells outdoors hike (which does make it kinda cool it can do dbl duty like that). Tom Bihn is out, the techno 30L only comes in Halcyon..and both 30/40 have NO load lifters. Bruh. 👎
@newagain99646 ай бұрын
@@david_does forgot my question: was pakt v2 an option…and y did u decide AER TP3 over it?
@RealMuperSanАй бұрын
I saw some delaminating of the outside, but not heard of “rips”.
