Also known as the Magali Villeneuve deck. Daeron was an Elf of Doriath who invented the Cirth runes, which subsequently have been seen more use with the dwarves.

😲 I actually went to my current physical deck for the Elrond's council and to the binder for the Daeron's runes and what happened there? It really is an action there.

This was great! I always want to use this hero lineup when I build a silvan deck, but I have exactly the issue you mention, that I want to put weapons on Haldir but there's no tactics. So really looking forward to your next video to see how you fix it.

Excellent video!!, thx. I was wondering if I need to tweak the starter deck somehow, to be able to survive the Hill Troll in the next scenario and the Escape from Guldur, but it does not seem necessary after watching this. I also declared myself as a Patron👍. What about those quality of game improvements you show here, the sleeves, the quest card holder with the nice dice, and the will power/threat monitoring attachment? Can they be purchased somewhere? Anyways, thx a lot.

Great point about O Lorien (and attachments in general). I am very accustomed to just sticking it on Celeborn: leadership attachment on the leadership hero. That's not a good reason, and attachment hate in certain quests can really make you think about the best place for cards like this.

Hey great video! I wanted to ask around the 14 minute mark you don’t want to use Henamarths ability incase there is a necromancers reach. Does Henamarths ability trigger the necromancers reach? I thought not since his ability is look at the top card of the encounter deck and not reveal the top card of the encounter deck. Unless looking at the top card of the encounter deck and revealing is the same? Thanks!
@AlwaysRollsAOne
@AlwaysRollsAOne Жыл бұрын
Nevermind. I misunderstood what you were saying. Necromancers Reach does 1 damage to all exhausted characters. So if you exhausted Henamarth by his ability and then revealed Necromancers Reach then he’d be dead. So you used his ability towards the end of the round where there was no more revealing and it was safe to exhaust. Makes sense. I’ll leave my comment up for any other new players

Hey, Chad! How are you doing? I have bought this + coreset and Angmar Awakened Hero Expansion. What would you do with Elrond? I can't seem to find a place for him in any of the decks. Was thinking of pairing him up with Legolas and adding the Tactics support that comes with the Silvan Elves deck, but what would be a good option for a third hero? Also, great videos! Have helped me immensely to get into the game!
@COTRPodcast

So glad these videos are helpful. Elrond is amazing with his ring for getting in expensive cards. If you pair him with Erestor and Legolas you should be able to find Vilya quickly and get expensive cards in for free. Use will of the West and the silver harp to manage your deck. Might be an interesting deck don't know if anyone has tried that yet

Great video. I just got into this game with revised core set and I'm checking out all these videos to get a better understanding of the gameplay. Do you own the revised core set? Response is defined in it as follows: Response abilities are labeled by the word "response" followed by ability text. Unlike action abilities, which are resolved during action windows, response abilities may be executed after the specified triggering condition occurs, as described in the responses ability text. *It is possible for multiple responses to be executed from the same triggering condition. *When two or more response abilities share the same trigger, resolve all response effects that use the word "when" before resolving response effects that use the word "after." *A response ability is always used immediately after it's triggering condition has occurred and has been resolved. The first player always has the first opportunity to use an ability in response to a given triggering condition, followed by the next player, and so forth. Response opportunities for that triggering condition alternate between players in this manner until all players have passed consecutively. *Once the opportunity to react to a triggering condition has been passed by all players, further responses to that specific triggering condition cannot be used. See also: Priority of simultaneous resolution, timing and ability resolution. Hooray for speech to text!
@COTRPodcast
@COTRPodcast 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching the videos! I'm assuming this is because of those two events that I focus on as saying Response? That's why those cards make no sense and are supposed to say Action, not Response. Those two cards have always said Action because that's what you're doing, you're not responding to anything when you play those cards. Caleb Grace responded to some questions and admitted that those are misprints and should not have been changed from Action.

@@COTRPodcast That was the reason. Wasn't sure if you saw the new set rules or not. That's a pretty serious misprint. Lol

When using Henamarth, does look mean reveal? Cuz if he’s just looking why would he take a damage?
@COTRPodcast
@COTRPodcast Жыл бұрын
No, it does not mean reveal. But, if you look prior to the staging step, you exhaust to look at it, and THEN you reveal it during the staging step. if the card you looked at does a damage to exhausted characters he would take the damage then (Necromancer's Reach for example). So, it is safer to look at the card after combat, you ready during refresh, then you will reveal the card next turn.

@COTRPodcast
@COTRPodcast 2 жыл бұрын
I use a video editing program called wondershare filmora, and you import sound and videos and then there's a film stock that you can download that has the graphics. Then while you're editing the video you pause the video and add the graphics or the sound. It was not hard to learn I taught myself using the software. If you Google filmora you can find KZbin videos about it

This is really great and well prestented LotR lcg content. Enjoyed it really much and learned a lot. Subed and I hope to see more of this deck :) Quick question how would you rate the two decks in the revised core box and the two decks in the Saga box? I only have the Elven and Dwarf deck as well but really like hobbits and the Gandalf hero as well.
@COTRPodcast
@COTRPodcast 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the kind words and the sub. All four of the decks you asked about are very good. Gandalf is extremely powerful in any deck you put him in. The two decks from the core set are going to suffer a little bit just because those were the first cards created for this game and they haven’t quite figured out the cost curve yet. My favorite hero in the game is Haldir, with the hobbits you can keep your threat very low. So using him with Merry and Galadriel, you can make a really powerful deck.
