The homemade butter thing reminds me of when, in grade 3, we had a "pioneers" unit and once the teacher just gave us jars of cream and left us alone to shake them for the whole class lol

I suddenly have the urge to live in a cottage in an secluded flower field. Wearing a cute flowy dress with my hair in a braid, while I spend my days baking in a dimly lit kitchen, with only candle sticks and the fading sunset as my light

Wow, I’m a person who has lived in a cottage for my whole life. The house is over 150 years old and we even found a horse shoe embedded in my wall when we knocked it down. I didn’t realise there was a fan base thing for cottages lol. I can see the appeal but I guess since I’ve always lived in one I can easily focus on the downsides like damp and size. Thanks for helping me see it in a better light lol

It really bothers me when yall chop off the stem of the strawberries... you dont need to do that, its just leaves, just pop em off, it saves time and energy, who told yall the most effective way was to cut a huge portion of the berry off just to get rid of the *edible* leaves? Yall.... why???
@googoogaga79862 жыл бұрын
The leaves aren’t to peoples tastes. It’s not that deep. People also have texture issues, like me.
@iclaimthisname97672 жыл бұрын
@@googoogaga7986 You can still take off the leaves without cutting that much of the strawberry off. There's a little grabby tool for it that you just push slightly into the top of the strawberry, and then grab all the leaves

The pastries look delicious, but I don’t know why simple baking is cottagecore (are average Americans so unacostumed to cooking?), I doubt they took their perfect looking ingredients from their backyard farms. Cottagecore is basically romanticizing the past, people have always done it, it’s bias. Living off the grid (and I mean actually being self-reliant by managing food and power sources yourself) is hard and takes dedication that most people would lose after a while. Even the Amish use chemical fertilizers because It’s not always gonna go your way and bad luck would effects how much you eat, storms are gonna destroy your strawberries, predators are gonna kill your chickens, you gotta get up early and milk the cows and churn your butter even if you’re sick or don’t feel like it. Want bread? You gotta sit there and grind the flour *just like in the old days-*
