Here in Australia Kids occasionally go trick or treating but nothing more and I you have to give letters to every house that you plan to trick or treat at so people are aware that they will need to go out and buy stuff

Haha most Americans don't invest in renting a professional cotton candy machine. In the US, Halloween is mostly (mostly) just for younger children and parents with relatively younger children. For the adults/young adults it's just another excuse to throw a party or social gathering generally with alcohol lol. Bunny just seems like a very high-energy person who would put a LOT of effort into any holiday and I can see how she would LOVE Halloween (getting to dress up and wear crazy makeup and generally let loose).

I have a cotton candy machine that I got from Target, and this one is way better and way more fun! You just plug it in, flip the switch and let it spin to heat up for like 5 minutes. And then you turn it off, and you can stick in any kind of hard candy you like(we use life savers, but you can also use jolly ranchers and things like that), and then turn it back on, and it starts creating your cotton candy that you collect onto your cone! I love it!! :)

As one who has spun a lot of cotton candy professionally, you need to be extra careful of the sugar. Maybe it's not as bad as a real machine but sugar goes up to about 266 F. If you get a large quantity on you, there will be terrible burns. Take it from someone who's worked at a big amusment-park for five years. But it looks pretty safe ;)

So, not sure if you know this, but if you get a slightly better cotton candy machine (one where it doesn't have a grate over the place that you drop the sugar in) and have it on, you can put in hard candies that are sugar based, and have flavored cotton candy treats. Like, I like putting in jolly ranchers, and my sister likes peppermint, and it REALLY does taste like it.

This video brought back some great memories! I'm a baby boomer and I had one of these when I was a kid. (more than fifty years ago). We used to add a packet of unsweetened kool-aid to a cup of sugar, shake it up really well, and spoon that mixture into the machine.
