Is there a series of movies with Gravedigger Jones and Coffinhead Johnson? They seem to have a cool Lethal Weapon style chemistry together! And I've never seen this movie before and already I feel as if I've liked it in a different life!!!
@earlgray70034 жыл бұрын
They made "Comeback Charleston Blue" a year or two later. The characters were also in a movie in the 1990s with different actors. You're right about the Buddy Cop feel to it. Though I think "I Spy" (tv show) was the first with that kind of feel.

I saw this movie 5 times the year it came out. We laughed out loud at certain scenes every time. Love this, tho’ today it seems so corny, lol.

Calvin Lockhart, real name was Bert Maclossy Cooper, I'm glad he changed his name, he was born and died in Nassu Bahamas. He was one of the sexiest men in the 70s.

The other two movies were Vome back Charleston Blue. S Rage in Harlem had two different actors playing the cops. Chester Himes is the author.

Early Black exploitation. It wasn't the best movie 🎥. But I like movies from the 70's. It was a cool era. ✊

Does anyone know who did the voiceover for the trailers of this film & its sequel, "Come Back, Charleston Blue"?!
@georgelee432114 жыл бұрын
sounds like actor Adolf Ceasar
@KarenDBrame4 жыл бұрын
@@georgelee43211 I know Mr. Caesar did voiceovers movies, especially those for '70s-90s Black films ... but it sounds like a Brotha who was an actor who played in "minor" roles, including who played a lead role as a Black militant in a '70s Blaxploitation flick that I can't recall. He's a chocolate brown, ordinary man...which might explain why I can't readily recall him ... 🤷🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️

LOL, I remember seeing this back in teh 1970's and LOL and remember that one phrase " kill the honkey"" from a black lady. Then when I was in the Navy back in 1987 and seen a black female sailor that almost looks like that black lady from this movie I told that young black female sailor that did she ever seen that movie " Cotton comes to Harlem" ? She said no and I told her there is a black actor that looks so much like you yelling that "kill the honkey" from that movie. She wanted to go see the movie for herself. I havn't heard from her. I bought a DVD movie from Amazon and today I still watch it time from time and LOL at the way comedy should be regardless of color of people of what they say to others like the "N" word or honkey.
