Your putting out great content. It’s obvious you put a lot of work into your videos and birds. I’m new to quail and your channel has been extremely helpful!

Guidroz Family Farm is where I get all my hatching eggs and even have their monthly subscription. Their birds are humongous and so calm and they are truly amazing people to work with! I know they do local sales as well but I recommend all my Utah people and anyone I come in contact with to order hatching eggs from them. They can accommodate huge orders too so I’m unsure why they are listed on the hobbyist side but I’m Glad they made the list. ❤

I actually was considering contacting Aaron for my next order. I was under the impression that he had a smaller setup, a few hundred birds vs 1000's. Even when I had over 500 birds I considered myself a hobbyist farm, and as I said in the video I sometimes prefer to get my hatching eggs from smaller farms due to the fact that they can more easily monitor for health, conformation or aggression issues. Thanks for commenting.

Not the first time I've heard this, which is why they made the list.

Thank you for this list. We’re just now researching if we want to get into Conturnix for our suburban adventures. My goal is simply food for my family, so I was shopping local but knowing about KC Quail is helpful! Probably worth the drive if they’re coming recommended.

We hatched 15 of 29 eggs. 7 females. 8 males. All have survived to 4.5 wks now. From my backyard Coturnix birds!

Terry, next year provide breeders for us who live on the west coast. Especially Southern California.

Im not sure why you never mention Myshire Farms. They offer a hatch guarantee and an arrival guarantee. They offer several varieties of quail.

I usually select 10 or 11 farms each year that have demonstrated a strict selective breeding program, are NPIP and work to improve or continue proven lines. Myshire doesn't share their breeding practices with the public so I have no idea whether they breed for genetic improvement or just mass produce to sell hatching eggs. I would be more than happy to include Myshire if they were a bit more open about their breeding practices. Hatch rate or arrival guarantee doesn't play into the selection process. Thanks for commenting.

@CoturnixCorner hmm, they do have an entire playlist on their breeding program. But, this is your channel, and I like it. Thanks

Thank you, I need this. I incubated 26 eggs, 11 survived to adulthood - and it appears there is only ONE male and he's a runt! Almost breeding/laying age. I've raised chickens for decades... and it's always too many roosters. Not this time.

It seems as if you don't think that western parts of the US are a part of quail breeding. Or maybe you only know of breeders in the south and east of the US. I am greatly disappointed in the information you presented.

I’m in northern Indiana but I’ve noticed hardly no breeders in the mid north cept for bobwhites

Location has nothing to do with being considered for this list. Southwest Gamebirds out of Arizona has been on the list multiple years. Any west or mid west farm is welcome to be considered.
