One thing from COVID-19, I now understand so much more about sanitising and disinfection! Thanks for the thorough overview.

Dziękuję i pozdrawiam z Polski. Trzymaj się i kręć więcej filmików.

I was wondering if you could do a video on how your turners are installed in your incubator

What do you use for a disinfectant spray? I love all of your videos that's been very educational for me. I have my very first quail eggs in the incubator, and we'll be going into lockdown on Friday.

Either Odo Ban or Pine-Sol, if I'm out of either of those I'll use Hydrogen Peroxide.

Hi Mr.Terry,,,i got a big problem that when i tried to combine the old quails and the young ones about one month old on the cage, the old ones have very aggressive behaviour and attcked the new quails on the head....what am I going to do?
@charlesmartin73474 жыл бұрын
Mist all of your quails with water and vinegar about 2 tbsp of vinegar and a glass of water in a spray bottle and mist the old and before you put them together mist the new bird's. But mist them at the same time in order to neutralize the different scent.

I try to always make additions to any flock at night, whether it’s chickens, ducks, or quail.

Q… straight pine-sol in the spray bottle?… or what is your dilution rate?

Hey Terry. Great video. My eggs have hatched 6 days ago. I have 44 of them now. Thanks for all the great tips. I would like to ask a question. Some people say i have to use antibiotics for the quail because if a sparrow comes near my cages it can spread some microbes that might kill all of my birds. So i have to use antibiotics. Is that right?
@CoturnixCorner4 жыл бұрын
I don't treat with any medicated feed or antibiotics and I have birds inside and outside.

Is letting the disinfectant set out in the sun a must? Or can I spray them down and let them air dry overnight to disinfect?

With your quail being garage keep is there any harmful diseases to human by eating? Not being in contact with any other birds should be a big plus right? And what about flies? Thanks
@CoturnixCorner4 жыл бұрын
I've never had any issues. I keep the cages pretty clean so flies aren't an issue.

When cleaning to cook is there anything I should look for when cleaning my quail, to be sure they are healthy? New to this and Really trying to keep my family safe. (Also is there a clean diet I’m suppose to put them on before preparing to clean and eat?)

Food overview, Terry. Aren't you concerned at all about the Pinesol residue left after air drying?
@CoturnixCorner4 жыл бұрын
Nope, never had a problem with it.

Shouldn't you clean the fans before you clean the inside out and I'm still waiting on what pitch or degree you put you roll out trays on thank you
@CoturnixCorner4 жыл бұрын
The egg roll outs are pitched 1" per foot from back to front.

Is it unusual for a 24 day old to start crowing ?
@CoturnixCorner4 жыл бұрын
Not really, usually it's around 6 weeks but can happen earlier.
