Couch replacement for motorhome has to be one of the things that a lot of people think about doing. I was not different in that I too wanted a couch replacement for RV...my RV...my home on wheels. The prior RV sofa was a mottled mess of tans and browns. It's only redeeming feature was that it was clean and no corpses had liquified on it. The best couch replacement had to be hipper than the prior one, comfortable and affordable.
My RV sofa replacement choice turned out to be a very reasonably priced vegan leather model that had the width specification that I was looking for (68" width in the bump out). This rennovation came in at just over $200 with shipping and I'm really happy with it.
Here is the link to that particular couch/loveseat: amzn.to/3oXEVY0
I use the following to shoot and record audio on my videos:
Camera: amzn.to/3md0brD
Microphone: amzn.to/3sNgZrp
Memory card: amzn.to/3fAvjQo
Hat: amzn.to/31KAZis

This B+ class motorhome was the perfect hybrid between the huge and cumbersome class A RVs and the class C's that have that horrible-looking crop out over the cab area (no like...). Is this the best b+ class motorhome? Well...I'll let you be the judge of that. :)
Along with this RV specific channel, I also run a tiny house oriented channel here on KZbin. Feel free to check that out here if you are curious: / tinyindustrial

That new couch looks incredibly uncomfortable. I'd take the older ugly one for sure because it looked comfy

I mean neither is 'super' comfortable. The new one is not perfect, but to me it's a definite upgrade. I just couldn't handle the look and feel of it. The new one is most definitely more comfortable to sleep on. The original pull out couch offered no support on one of those paper thing mattresses.

This was exactly what I needed to see for my ‘96 class C rv. My current sofa is ok, but when folded down to make a bed, mine has the valley of doom down the middle. I’ve picked out a much better couch from IKEA that folds completely flat to replace it with. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Great! Did you get a chance to put it in? Did it work? Do you have a video up of the process? Just curious...

@@tinyindustrial-rvedition2368 Not yet, getting some electrical stuff repaired first. Hopefully soon though!

I keep an empty liter bottle around to throw screws that I take out of things so I don't lose or damage floors by forgetting them. It's also an awesome source for screws when I need a random one. Thanks for the content. I'm learning a lot.

Great idea. Do you have an RV or are you thinking of getting into it? I haven't made content for this channel in a while, but it's RV season again, so I'll make the effort to do some more. Thanks for your comments and suggestions. Very helpful for me.

@@tinyindustrial-rvedition2368 No, I do not have an rv. My husband is not into it. I have land on a river in West Virginia. In the Spring I have plans of getting a storage shed put there, maybe 12X36. I plan to put a bathroom (incineret toilet like in your videos) and a kitchen area. If I get a gabriel roof style I will put lofts there for extra sleeping. I currently take tents there. We are going next week. Tents are fun as long as there are no storms. There is a cabin on the property that has septic, but I don't want to mess with that. The well is in the area of my potential shed build. The county/state allows grey water distribution as long as it's buried in a trench. From their diagrams it looks like the french drain I put in my yard to divert water, so I think it will be easily accomplished. I am wondering about electricity for the shed, since the toilet requires a dedicated 30amp circuit. My neighbor is a retired electrician. I will probably ask him for details, but I am thinking 50 amp box would be sufficient for the entire building's lights, refrigerator and cook stove, maybe a hot water heater, not sure on that. Thanks for all the content. I really like how you show details. I need details, that's what I'm here for.

A set of new lounge chairs would be nice there to. They make them in that size. then you can stretch out better

I did have those type couches when my boys were teenagers. The fabric did not hold up, but then that was teenager use and years ago. The reclining mechanism in them never failed though. I originally thought that would be the weakest feature.

Yeah, my goal was really to get rid of that hideous piece of furniture that was in there and put in something more pleasing. Longevity didn't factor into the equation as much as price for me. :)

I have to say I was expecting more on the couches replacement. But hey how long are you going to spend in it anyway. It's for traveling and making it easier. I did like the presentation. I plan to use it to remove one this weekend

What do you mean expecting more? You thought that the new one would be nicer than it is? Not sure I follow. How did your couch removal go?

Do you need to mount the couch on the floor so it won't move when driving?
@tinyindustrial-rvedition2368
@tinyindustrial-rvedition2368 2 жыл бұрын
The couch is not currently mounted. I did put some 90 degree brackets in front of the rear legs of the couch that prevent it from sliding into the center of the RV. Something pretty dramatic would need to occur for it to dislodge from where it sits currently. May seek to strap it down in some fashion and or drill into the rear legs from the brackets I referenced. Not too concerned. Thanks for the question though. Sorry I didn't make that clear in the video.

I believe that came off of Amazon. I didn't provide a link in the description? This is it: amzn.to/3Mz6wv7. Basic, but way better than what was in there, no?
