I've just bought one of these after having a magnet scrubber for years and this is possibly the single best purchase I've made for my tank

This is perfect timing, I was literally researching glass scrapers this morning. I wish the long was in stock. I plan on getting one when they come in.

This looks great, but is it capable of scraping off those mutton chops on the side of your face?

Gave it a try, felt fantastic, but the blades broke, and the metal blade is now as dull as a spoon. Chops are shiny as heck now though!

The new flipper float is great too and has both blades and a great felt scrubber side, the dd blade runner in the U.K. is great too and is a lot cheaper

Need more information to convince me it will not scratch my acrylic. Please provide?

@@jdamommio I have used plastic blades on acrylic and they do not work very well.

How to detach the booster though?

I've found it easiest to simply pry it off using a small flat head screwdriver.

I've always been hesitant to use the steel blades, for fear of scratching the glass. Is that a realistic fear? I've got a Waterbox Cube 20 with the low iron glass.
@BRStv3 жыл бұрын
We've found that this particular scraper is the least likely to scratch the glass, but it certainly can happen.

I'm never using a magnetic scrubber because I don't want to take any chance of scratching my glass.

This or the flipper?
@BzReef3 жыл бұрын
I had a Flipper completely destroy the glass on one of my tanks. I always take the scrapers out of the tanks when not in use. I looked over the flipper and didn't notice anything in-between so I took it out and wiped it down and it continued to scratch the glass. Needless to say I threw the flipper in the trash. Since getting my new tank I have use nothing but Tunze care scrapers and I haven't had any issues.
@kygu3 жыл бұрын
@@BzReef I like the tunze for this exact reason. Thanks for sharing, I think I'll pick one up. Do you use the booster?
@BzReef3 жыл бұрын
@@kygu I got mine before the booster was offered with them. But I wish I had it on the inside because it does sink to the bottom quite fast lol

Go for Tunze , my flipper sucks in scraping coralline algae.
