Many thanks for this interview, very informative! Just one question, what is the name of the website with assessments of national plans?

Some areas here in the Midwest USA have been depleted to the point bio-diversity won't come back to the level of what it was (anytime in the past). There will need to be designs and planting implementation to raise up forest crop trees. For instance, I walk Michigan State Land and they are indiscriminately clear cutting areas of older trees; maple, beech, and various conifers which produce a crop for wildlife. Mostly what regrows is poplar & balsam fir. Then they'll cut that in 50 years so people can wipe their... Discuss the farmland poisonings. I don't know if those areas can ever come back to something creatures including humans might like. The USA is in reverse, I have typed we are speeding up entropy.

There are TOO many people! PEROID! Right now more people in this context means more farms for more food as many people go hungry; and yes there is enough food now but the complexities for the reasons will not change. People want shelter PREFERABLE something nice with plenty of luxuries, and things. This has and will come at the cost of nature it's animals and systems.

This. I wonder what the COP thinks will happen to their fancy 30% preservation goal when 10 billion people need land for food or housing.

There is already enough food to feed every human. It is a logical, priority, power and morality problem, NOT a scarcity problem. Yes, increased human population growth is an issue, but proper housing and neighborhood design, and proper allocation can mitigate the problems. The biggest problem is anthropogenic increase in atmospheric CO2 due to fossil fuels, and then anthropogenic increase in atmospheric CH4

So they are having COP 26 in Azerbaijan and COP 16 in Columbia the same year and there was already a COP 26 and COP 16 many years ago. Ok, not confusing at all
