I’m not as down on McK as many. He gives up too much on his pass pro, but he’s pretty effective at getting to the second level. He’s also been saddled with a revovind door at RG. Some stability would help.

Decent depth pickup with maybe some upside. I think he gives an upgrade over Jaylon Moore as the backup tackle, and maybe his ceiling is to compete with McKivitz. I think he's roughly the tackle equivalent of what Jon Feliciano was going into last year: a solid veteran backup with positional versatility and some starting-level potential/experience.

He’s not the tackle signing I hoped for I wanted us to snap up Mekhi Becton ngl, but Hubbard could be a decent addition even if he retires at end of season

I'm hoping he's atleast good enough to compete. rn mcvitiz has that spot by default nobody is good enough behind him to take it.

Signing Hubbard doesn't say anything about McKivitz, in my book. The roster spot that I see Hubbard taking is that of Jaylen Moore, who has been the swing tackle the last few years. The 49ers are just doing what they've always done under Lynch and Shanahan: adding competition, and keeping the winners.

Mckivitz is trash he's definitely going back to the bench. This Guy is probably not making this team but I believe they want players to compete in camp

I think he is about the same as the starter, Mckivitz. Not much better not much worse. You wish you have a better player but you know he could be worse!!

And Mckivitz really hasn't been that much worse than Mike Mcglinchey who got a bag in free agency prior to last season.

I enjoyed this but you lost me at McKivitz is one of the best run blocking tackles in The NFL. PFF grades him poorly in this area and the numbers show a large dropoff running rt vs Lt. What am I missing?

Watch McKivitz tape, he is a stud run blocker. His issue is pass pro always has been
