very encouraging to hear. I find cancer is a scarry word. I know too many people whose lives are in limbo far too young. My colleague's girlfriend (2 younge kids) is battling breast cancer at 34 for over a year now and she's not out of the woods yet. This isn't a fight she should be fighting; she should be enjoying her two young daughters, and instead, she's worried she won't see another year. This always happens to the best of us humans too. anyway...I'm hoping this forges new paths that ensures kids and young adults don't leave us before they can enjoy a full life.

It would be nice to develop something to stop mRNA vaccine, because in case of allergic reaction waiting for 7-10 years when cells will die by itself is kind of long period of time.

I thought it was the other way around. COVID vaccines could be introduced so quickly, because the companies made use of the newly approved mRNA technique. We were simply lucky, a new safe techonoly had become available.

Plus, companies and govt funneled so much money into making and testing the vaccines (plus no shortage of people to test it on, as a pandemic was happening and the virus was everywhere (still kind of is, but you get what I mean)), about, according to the CDC, as much money as 12 years of funding for HIV and other diseases...

We are too quick with our genetic engineering solutions, little testing and unkown possible side effects. I have a tumour behind my eye, and would not consider this new 'fix' until clear proof of safety.... Remember the start of 'I am legend' LOL.

My condolences but as for information: Everyone has cancer cells most of the time but it requires an extremely rare combination of lost failsafes to grow out of control and even greater to overcome the immune system’s detection and destruction. The older you are the more DNA damage cells receive and the more likely failsafes are undone in cellular senescence but still probabilistically seem half a chance in a lifetime to go bad and that’s counting benign too I believe. Oncogenes? It is more a disposition increasing likelihood than any certainty but markers definitively to lookout for if your doctors can ascertain any link to heritability.
