I was like 13 when this came out. I just saw this after listening to this for the first time in a long time. Still wiping away the tears. Thanks for this.

Thank you for posting this lesson. As a kid back in the 70's I could never get anywhere with trying to learn guitar, but fast forward to today with youtube and new turners and you will see the same kid only in an old mans body. Maybe it was the best that I could not get it to work back then because now that I am learning a little, it is all that I want to do. Non stop 24/7, just playing the hell out of my fender. It's never to late become a rock & roller!! Thanks for helping, Rocco from Alabama

What a refreshing video to see a real teacher exhibiting his craft. Excellent attention to detail but slow enough that everyone can get it. Bravo MR. Steve!

Thanks for covering this song. I thought it was in D but played the single note riff starting on the low G note instead of the C note. This clarified that I was wrong.I like to play but don't usually get it right until someone else plays it & I see it.You have a good ear & I guess mine's bad.I was originally a drummer at 12. Should've just stuck with that. Thanks again.

Thanks dude. Recording a cover and you helped me out a bit with the solos! Hard to find good tabs for this song, too underrated!

Always loved that song, now I can learn how to play it. Even though I only play originals, I can at least give this a shot. Thanks for the video.

Excellent tutorial. I'm from the UK and never heard April Wine's cover version before. Still prefer Hot Chocolate's original version though.

I'm not palm muting during the 'chucking' and my fingers are in light contact with the strings. The only thing I can think of is maybe too little or too much gain. I only use compressors with clean tones. I did use an MXR Micro-Amp which 'livens' up a tube amp at low volume. I watched your videos and you're a good player - sorry I can't offer any better advice.

Kudos to OsainteveO for such a clear and concise guitar lesson. You explanations and note for note guitar playing are spot on. Thanx!

I was driving down the highway listening to this song the other day and thought "now there's a great song that I'd love to learn to play on guitar" and then went home and found your tutorial. Your lesson was great!!! It's so clearly taught that I was able to learn all parts in just a few minutes and I'm not a good guitar player by any stretch of the imagination!Excellent job! Thank you very much OsainteveO!

dude, you rock, are you from ontario?

Straight into the amp. The odd tone may be due to me putting the mic 'off center' of the speaker cone.
