Great video idea as always, Matt! I had actually also tried this with Jamaica once you started releasing these vids, but didn't get very far since my computer is fairly old and doesn't like simulating 20 years. I got up to the end of 2027 with a pretty similar trajectory to yours. Of note, Sterling does seem to retire early (2025 for me as well), they won a Gold Cup (2027) and Nations League (2024), got out of their group in the 2026 World Cup (before getting dump trucked by England), and they peaked at 24th. Of note, the Jamaican leagues seem to consistently produce amazing players (a quick glance says there were at least 7 players with 140 PA that genned in Jamaica) (also most players seem to come from Mount Pleasant or Cavalier). I'll also shoutout Jeadine White, a real player who went from being at Cavalier to being the first-choice goalie at mid-table Championship side Wigan after 2 years of simming - definitely a good pick up for anyone who needs a lower-league GK (for cheap too, Wigan spent only £2k!). Keep up the good work!

You can also do the same with the Turkish national team because there are some great players who are eligible for Turkey but they have chosen to represent germany. I know at the beginning of the game there are not many good players that you can convert but as we go more into the future some of the german newgens will mostprobably be eligible for Turkey too. It would be fun imo

Montenegro may be an interesting choice. Kind of low in FIFA ranking, but there may be MANY options from other Balkan nations (especially Serbia) that may give access to some really fun players to play for Montenegro instead.

Did this 7 or 8 years ago on FM (though I made an entire database transferring 130PA plus players to their weakest nationality). Definitely forgetting someone but iirc the front-line Jamaica could pick from was stacked and seriously speedy: Raheem Sterling, Daniel Sturridge, Theo Walcott, Dwight Gayle, Ravel Morrison (back then a high PA prospect), Troy Deeney, Junior Hoilet and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Think they also had Jonathan De Guzman, Wes Morgan, Michael Hector and -8 rated Andre Blake amongst a few others. And yes I did win the first or second World Cup with them haha.

PS might be good to do some of these with a retro database, like the 99 db, where irl players join the game over time as opposed to regens. It would give more realistic players and we can see how they do. It's especially well worth a revisit with the Suriname team and some of their previous stars. Saves you having to set their nationality as well. Once again, apologies to your database editor XD

I do, i know it's weird, basically half my family is Scottish including my dad, so when i was growing up, whenever he said Ireland, there'd be way more emphasis on the Ire part of Ireland, so i almost pronounce is phonetically instead of like "Island"
