If Crane fires Espada after just one year then he hasn't owned his part of this disastrous season. He and Bagwell mortgaged the future to get Abreu and got no return out of him. Even rich people make mistakes. If a rich person sees some other rich person have something they want, they will go out and overpay for that. We should not be buyers if we are out of the running for the playoffs. I am ready for some new young talent instead of resigning Bregman.

Mortgaged the Future? Jose Abreu wasn't traded here for Prospects. Jose Abreu was signed as a Free Agent. Thank Jim Crane and Jeff Bagwell for that disaster.

@@alisyed7659 He paid for a depreciating asset with no value and still paying for it.. Just because he didn't give up prospects doesn't mean he didn't mortgage the future. What exactly did we get out of it except keeping him on the roster far too long.

If they are going to re-tool the roster I don't see Espada being the guy. And Crane will need a sacrificial lamb to appease the fans anyway.

Honestly , Espada has lost too many games by his bone headed decisions. He's not responsible for everything, but he is not a leader. He lacks basic baseball common sense. HE'S GOT TO GO ! ! !

I'm not saying Espada is at fault for a lot of the problems but he's definitely not making a positive influence on the team either. They need a different voice. But people forget how Dana talked about Espada when they made the hire official, went non stop about how they see "eye to eye" which means Espada is a puppet to the front office and when u have a guy like that organizations do their best to make it work. So unfortunately i think Espada's job is safe for at least another season. Seems like a great guy but he's not it.

Not a one and done. The players have just not done their part offensively and too many injuries and hurt pitchers!!!

And, also, upper management too, I think Crane and Jeff Bagwell and added the injuries of pitchers, the overall lack of hitting and pitching depth in the bullpen. I agree McCullers needs to go. I don't trust him coming back healthy because when the season begins, we hear McCullers is hurt and out for a long period of time. He is unreliable. McCullers needs to be off this team.

I would say get a new owner of the team I don't know that's better also get Bagwell not to make a decisions and stop acting like he can be part GM.
