DAAAAAMN, I CAN’T WAIT!! Jones VS Nggannou is close to being legit now! It doesn’t matter who wins, I just need to see that fight.
@sebastianvanderberg7263 жыл бұрын
Derek Lewis asks less money cause he actually has a chance of beating Ngannou. Id say Ngannou Lewis is 40/60 Ngannou or 30/70. I favour Ngannou but if lewis KTFO hims i wouldnt be surprised, nor if Lewis wins another decision. But Jones Ngannou is 20/80 at best as far as im concerned. 10/90 more likely or less. Thing is I just dont see Jones possing any threat with either punches or kicks on the feet. His headkick against Cormier was well placed on a smaller man. No way he lands a flush headkick with the shin like that on Ngannou and even if he did i dont think Ngannou would go down with that. So standing Jones has nothing to threaten Ngannou with, at all. This opens up for a flurry like Ngannou did against Rozenstruik. And wrestling and submissions sure Jones is better but one thing is very important there: Athleticism. I just dont see Jones wrestling Ngannou down or holding him down. Jones has never had that kind of shoot wrestling, its always been more grecoroman trips, hip throws, etc. Ngannou is too big for that. Not gonna happen. Best hope i see for Jones is Ngannou is too stupid to see this or has a bad day before the fight, and is thus intimidated by Jones's GOAT aura and baited into engaging into a technical fight with him (try to out-technique Jones) in which case i still see him winning a decision but there is a chance Jones wins by points by just pointfighting with the jab and leg kicks and running. The other option is a submission ala Anderson Silva against Sonnen after an Ngannou knockdown. And lets be real both these options are unlikely. Jones at heavyweight is not a bad idea perse, I see him winning against Stipe or Derek Lewis and they both have a shot at beating Ngannou (in a trilogy rematch in Stipes case) as far as im concerned, just as Gane and Rozenstruik, maybe Volkov. But the thing is these guys are dedicated heavyweights. Jon is not, and to take Ngannou on his first match, especially after putting on weight and not adapting to that yet, i dont see that happening. Matchups make fights, afterall. And i see this one either with Jones getting beat up 5 rounds or KTFO. Maybe if Jones fought one or two tune up fights at heavyweight first, he could get to that level. But i dont see him doing that either. The other reality apart from fighting is Jones is spent. Fighting age isnt real age after all. If you look at his last fights, we see a trend of a Jones that is not the same as the young man who won the LHW championship. Less creative, less inspired. He isnt doing anything very innovative. Sure he beat DC and held of Reyes and Santos, and he's definetly the GOAT, but you can see the Anderson Silva or Jose Aldo in him, the start of the decline. Sooner or later a younger fighter with more inspiration and motivation was gonna take him at LHW, and sure maybe he could have a career at heavyweight, but the thing is i dont see him handling loss well. Ngannou, Stipe, Lewis, etc. lose but still keep fighting for years. I dont see Jon Jones doing that (Losing by knockout one or two times but still fighting and staying active), not to blame him ofcourse, brain damage is a bummer and why should he? hes a hall of famer no matter what he does from this point onwards. And so if we look at this fight seriously its obvious Jon Jones is pricing himself out of the fight, and if i where the UFC i wouldnt pay him either. Jones probably knows he has zero to non chances to win, and wants to cash out before retirement. Thats how i see it. If he was really hungry to go to HW and fight 5-10 more years he'd go for a tune up fight and not bitch about money before any formal negotiation has even been made. Not to say he doesnt deserve that money, etc. but its about cost benefit. Will the UFC make that much money out of the spectacle of Ngannou KO'ing Jones? (especially if they have to pay each of them 40 million) Idk. and you ruin Jones's legacy, and Ngannou doesnt profit much (KO'ing a LHW). Best case Jones wins but then do you really see him defending the HW belt multiple times? looking at Jones's history that seems unlikely. Worst case not only Ngannou knocks him out but also leaves him with permanent disabilities or something. Even more trouble. I dont know. I somehow just dont think this is a good idea. If Jones is serious then let him have a tune up fight first, prove he wants to be a heavyweight. Or accept what the UFC wants to pay him. But this went bad from the start and i wouldnt say its Dana's fault. When he said "but does he really wanna fight?" Jones could have said "hell yeah ima fuck Ngannou up" but instead he started bitching and lowkey hinting at racism with the Mcgregor comments (When he is nowhere near as much of a draw as mcgregor nor prepared to fight Joshua, Wilder or Fury like Mcgregor fought Mayweather) Heck i like Jon Jones. GOAT 100%. Lets all move on, its for the best.
@LeonMason1123 жыл бұрын
@@sebastianvanderberg726 Jesus… okay. i’mma try to match your enthusiasm about this. I agree, think it would be good for Jones if he fights someone else in heavyweight like Lewis or any top 5 guy so he gets a good feel on it and how he is at heavyweight because Ngannou just needs one to land (doesn’t matter which hand) if he connects once, that could be it, BUT I also think Jones can beat anyone on a good day plus imagine what jones would be like if he didn’t have to cut much weight, maybe he’s better. Jones has the skill, Ngannou has the power. Like you, I’m a fan of both, but I would love to see Jones win in a spectacular way, but if Ngannou knocks him the f**k out, I’d like that too.

Amr Ahmed tbh I have to stop myself from doing it, it sounds stupid but it’s like your dad someone you just look up to you, automatically trust what they say sometimes and you don’t even realise, you have to think about it. For me there isn’t much I ever disagree with joe so it becomes like I just start going with everything he says because I look up to him, I bet Brendan is the same especially when joe rogan is part of the reason he has so much fame and joes been good to him for so long, it becomes hard not to be constantly trying to show this guy how much you appreciate them

@alexb2924 жыл бұрын
StriKe TV I think stipe is always gonna be a tough match up for Francis, but Jones gets smoked. Honestly, after Jon Jones last few performances and Francis last few, Francis walks through Jones and knocks him out within 2 rounds
@StriKeTVFN4 жыл бұрын
After talking it over, the logic I can find is this, and I know MMA arithmetic doesn't always add up loll. But if Jones was able to beat Daniel and Daniel can beat Stipe, I think Jon has a larger chance than I had previously thought. I still think Francis has the potential to intelligently overwhelm ANY opponent as long as he doesn't gas himself out, but Jon is such a sharp fighter, I could see him holding his own, weathering the storm, and potentially wearing out Francis. I only say this to broaden the perspective for potential, not necessarily what I believe.
