We need to see how Liam does against Yuki in the next couple of races to get a proper gauge. Unfortunately In Monza, Yuki didn't race due to the engine issue in the warm up lap. Danny Ric is the real losed here though, it'll be tough of him when he comes back as he will now be compared against both Yuki and Liam.

@@murphychris9811 redbull isnt a financially struggling team, they have extra expenses to shift drivers around for testing to find the best possible matches. De vries didn’t get dropped for not bringing sponsors, though it would’ve helped with his longevity. He got dropped for lacking performance.

Ricciardo is yesterday`s man, he`s had a good crack at Formula 1 and is on the downward curve. I say Throw Lawson in at Red Bull as Verstappen`s Team-mate. For an experienced driver Perez Makes too many silly mistakes either in qualifying or in the race.

Red Bull want Lando ideally, but they will take Daniel if they can't get Lando from Mclaren. Yuki is a Honda driver. He won't be a long term option for Red Bull. He will end up at Aston at some point most likely, probably when Alonso retires. Lawson has done a solid job so far. But he's just a rookie. If he continues to impress, and matches/close to Yuki, he will probably get a seat at AT for next year. If Lawson continues to impress and challenge Yuki, it's unfortunate but it will likely mean the end for Yuki at AT because I see it being Daniel & Lawson if Checo doesn't get dropped for Daniel in 2024. Yuki been in the team for 3 years, and in the car all year, and he's allowed two new guys (Daniel and Lawson) to pretty much jump in and match/beat him from the jump. Daniel actually has him 2-1 in qualy and races together while being new to the car, and Lawson was only 1.5 tenths off Yuki already being a F1 rookie and new to the car. It will be good to see how Lawson does the next 2 gp's, but even more so I really look forward to seeing Daniel back. He's going to be extremely fired up and keen to show what he's got now. I have a good feeling we are going to see the old Danny Ric and we would have seen it at Zandvoort if it wasn't for the hand break.

They shouldn't put Lawson straight in to a RB seat on principle. Although Lawson seems to handle being thrown in the deep end pressure unlike a lot of drivers have.

@@Max_Flashheart Yeah there is no way he will go straight to Red Bull. If he does well these next 2 GP's, he has a good chance of taking a AT seat next year. Question is, will it be Yuki or Daniel with him. I think it will be Daniel because Daniel is a real chance of being in Red Bull in 2025, where as Yuki isn't Honda will want to take him for Aston Martin.

I would keep Liam in the AT seat even when Daniel Ric is fit to drive again. We need give the next generation a decent chance. DR is a sound bite who is a decent enough driver, but has had his chances.

The next two races for Liam, along with the last 5 for Daniel, will show if they improve over each race and how they compare to Yuki. Only then will Alpha and other teams will know if one or both are worth grabbing.

He will get an Alpha Tauri drive as Daniel Ricciardo is after a Redbull or front of grid drive if Checo moves on maybe Yuki to Aston with Honda in the future the point for Alpha Tauri is to bring in new talent but want better results going forward under more Redbull control...

They will put the drivers in who perform the best, so unless they already signed Ricciardo up for another season during the summer break and haven't announced it. They will evaluate the drivers at the end of the year and one of them will either leave or remain a reserve. I don't care who Lawson is driving against as long as he gets a seat.

I don't think Lawson cares who he's driving against, as long as he gets a seat! lol. He said in a recent interview he was in with Marko saying, I deserve to be here, when can I get a seat, which means nothing unless you can prove it, which I think he's on the way to doing now with Daniel out. People can get really emotional over Daniel and his comeback but just like all the rest, if he can't prove he's better, or at least on par with his teammate, Red Bull may break up with him: "we like you as a person, it's not us, it's you," and see you later.

@@Bugsygb1 Yuki's been in Alpha Tauri for the past 3 years and has driven for the past 8th months unlike Ricciardo who will also have to recover from his injury and probably this will hold him back. In the 2 races they had together Yuki was clearly faster and made almost no mistakes while Daniel quite frequently locked up and made a big mistake in the Netherlands that's gonna cost him the partcipation to the next two races other than proving that he's not yet in a good enough physical condition to race in Formula 1, let alone in a team like RedBull. Liam Lawson, on the other hand, has been close to Tsunoda from what we've seen, probably closer than Ricciardo, despite racing only 2 races ever in Formula 1. We will see more of Liam during the course of the season so if he performs well I think Alpha Tauri should keep him. If Williams pairs up Albon and Lawson they will be risking to repeat 2023 with Sargeant. So if Williams needs a proven and experienced driver I think they should try to take Perez. Him and Albon would be a great pairing to bring Williams back to where they should be. It looks like RedBull doesn't want Perez anymore so if their alternatives are the Alpha Tauri drivers, if I were Christian Horner, I would definitely pick Tsunoda over Ricciardo, for the recent experience, for the recent performances, for the marketing/Honda side and also because he's young and has plenty of time in Formula 1 ahead of him unlike Ricciardo who was about to retire if Alpha Tauri didn't give him a chance. Ricciardo definitely needs to re-adapt to Formula 1 so instead of going straight to RedBull and being a total flop it would be better to stay at Alpha Tauri for a full season and to see where is Lawson compared to him, also to see where would Tsunoda be in a top team. I know putting Tsunoda in a RedBull could potentially be a risky move but Tsunoda and Norris performed similarly against Ricciardo so if RedBull can't get Norris (their current target to replace Perez), why not give a chance to a driver who has 3 years of experience in their junior team? I think from the Alpha Tauri point of view it's a win-win. Daniel is experienced and could really help developing Alpha Tauri's car which is currently the grid's worst car while also being a benchmark to Lawson. The only downside is Perez going to Williams which means that Alpha Tauri will have more rivals. I'm not sure all of this is going to happen but that's what I would do if I were Christian Horner.
