Yabusele is too redundant with Stew and he probably wants to play more minutes than he would here. But contending teams with depth issues -- looking at you Denver -- should be trying hard to sign him (and Bruno Caboclo)
@JacobPistons3 ай бұрын
He would be a great look for Denver especially after the Daron Holmes situation
@Heru3133 ай бұрын
Stew?? Who is undersized can't defend and can't shoot. Everyone let's him shoot 3s it hurts us more. Plus stew is a backup..Yabusele also can shoot 3s and he can run the floor. He also has a better mid range then Stew. His 3 and his twos all better then stew. We need big bodies and he can switch onto 3s. Stew can't guard stretch 4s or actual 3s. Then bigs nope because he is to small. He can be a backup 4.
@michaelahurt3 ай бұрын
@@Heru313 Yabusele shoots fewer threes than Stewart and isn't as good a rim protector. He is better on the perimeter though and moves a little better. Not enough to guard wings and guards like Aaron Gordon but like Stew he has the strength and foot speed to handle big wings (like LeBron) He's also more explosive vertically which makes him a better finisher. But Yabusele will also be a backup. Keep in mind he isn't even _in_ the NBA.

@IAmAbundunt3 ай бұрын
Is he 7ft? What he is it about this fan base, they seem to have no interest whatsoever in a real big man? They love undersized big men, Jalen Duren only 6:10- Isiah Steward 6:8- Paul Reed 6:9, a bunch of little guys, meanwhile we passed on badly needed 7’3 Zach Eddy? WTF, the Piston’s are stuck on stupid, POrzingus, the Joker, Joel Embied killing those little guys the piston’s have, they wouldn’t kill Zach Eddy, I don’t want another Beef Stew, I want a real shot blocking 7 footer like all the other good teams have
@michaelahurt3 ай бұрын
So why do you want Edey? He creates more problems than he solves on defense. All three of those guys would pull Edey out to 25 feet and teams are going to run around him like he's a chair. Although I'd rather have Donovan Clingan on this roster than Ron Holland BTW Embiid took 40% of his shots from _three_ against Duren. And he shot 5/17 against Stewart (although he did get 10 FT) The guy he actually did kill downlow was the 7 footer James Wiseman But it _would_ be nice if Duren was 7'1" like Derrick Lively
@IAmAbundunt3 ай бұрын
@@michaelahurt no, I disagree, Eddy is way more athletic than your giving him credit for, at the nba combine he was second amongst all centers in the agility drills, I think all those slow centers that I mentioned previously, would have their hands full with the bigger, stronger Eddy, and I’m already betting Eddy has a better rookie year than Clingan, I’m betting that the scouts are wrong again, as usual, they never seem to know what they’re talking about
@michaelahurt3 ай бұрын
@@IAmAbundunt Watch the tape. He's not. Using combine agility drills as proof of anything is like using the three point contest as proof of shooting ability. It's just physics. Someone that big can't move with a 6'3" guard. And he's only going to get less athletic over time. Even Embiid gets cooked in the playoffs. It's too easy to get guys that big off balance and they can't flip their hips or move their feet quick enough.
@JacobPistons3 ай бұрын
To be honest with you, don’t think I could disagree more personally. One of my biggest basketball convictions (for better or worse) is that skill > measurables. Ben was listed at 6’9 but in all reality was 6’7 barefoot at best. Darko was a true 7 footer. If you can play you can play. However, I respect your opinion and cannot speak for the fan base. Maybe my bias comes from being an undersized guard my whole life, idk.
@LavaDesert3 ай бұрын
Pistons have an idiotic history of liking 6'8/9 Centers, and yes Zack Eddy would of been a great starting Center for Pistons I have been pushing for (predict will be top 3 performer in the draft), 20+/pts / 12+ reb / 2.5blks, and is physical. And I am all for moving Duren to PF and seeing how he develops.
