Horse Racing has always been the envy of the world in this country, however the lack of interest from successive governments in controlling the sport has led to factions taking control of their piece of the pie , this situation reminds me of what has happened within football, the big clubs are raking in the cash just as the big courses are , but the smaller ones struggle to survive.

Lyon la soie on Wednesday 22 January prize money was 117.000 euros there was 7 races and the owners horses are subsides travelling costs same day prize money for lingfield with 8 races 52.500 sterling if that doesn't tell you the problem you are a lost cause

One regulator - cap the number of horses in training - no trainer should have more than 80 horses. Cap the owners to max 80 horses, spread the quality - less, less racing - prize money, prize money, prize money increase

UK Horse Racing is run by the rich to take as much money off the poor as possible and bookmakers have killed racing with things like fifth of the odds on races etc and not a quarter as it was years ago, everyone has their hands in the pocket of the punter
