Why would they make a new product's board in-house that only supports last gen? It's almost been 3 1/2 years since the PS5 droppped.

I think it's cause Sony requires a fee to have PS5 support or something like that either way $170 is a good price for what you get especially since the competition's PS4 versions are more expensive with less features. Ultimately I'd say if you want native PS5 support the Snackbox is the best option imo but if you have a smaller budget then the QRD Maestro will serve you well

Sony doesnt like ps5 controllers being sold without a license. That said brooks fgc adapter has been pretty legit for me on the ps4's 8 minute bypass with 2040 boards. Have heard good about it with other boards on ps5 also. Check the compatibility first, but if compatible for $60 it should do the job.

also, just want to clarify - when you use the converter to play PS5 and Xbox Series X, it means you can't use the controller wirelessly right? If the intention is to play this only on xbox x or PS5 then there is is really no reason to consider this one over a more affordable one since you can't use it wirelessly. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

After this video was made QRD actually released a wireless adapter to use for PS5 games which is bundled with the controller allowing you to play PS5 games wirelessly

@@KasualZenkai what about xbox series x? Do you happen to know? currently on the market for a leverless controller to use on my xbox series x and a wireless option would be the hands down winner for me if I could find one.

@@gerardoramirez115 I'd recommend the Snackbox Micro Lite by Junkfood Arcade for XBSX though it's not wireless. unfortunately the wireless adapter for QRD is listed as PS5 so I'm unsure if it's wireless for Xbox

@@KasualZenkai I settled for the 8bitdo arcade stick since that one is licensed and wireless although it's not leverless. I think I'm going to try the Haute42 boards too and see how that goes. Thanks for your replies! :)
