I would be surprised if the P86 wasn’t the next curve to hit the retail market. Matthews, Celebrini, Zegras, and Michael Misa are only some of the players that have switched to the P86, it’s bound to be a high seller. It never stays on the shelves for long when it shows up on the various pro stock hockey resellers! Really don’t know what CCM is waiting for tbh, I thought it would make sense to release it alongside the new Vizion stick, but I guess they thought otherwise.

I absolutely agree, the p86 or zegras curve should be the next retail curve for sure. I do think that the p71 has a place in the market to replace the p88 as it shares the same blade profile but is better for the more modern way of shooting off the toe!

Filmed the whole video today but none of the audio recorded so I’m going out to film again on Thursday, the stick is very good. Puck flies of the blade

I haven’t been playing very long and I only have roller where I’m at. Went from a zegras curve to the pro21 and idk what it is about it but it just works. I feel like I can do anything with it , like a jack of all trades
@StickTalk85 күн бұрын
You can’t go wrong with either of those curves!

I think the p71 fits mackinnon’s play style perfectly it provides a quick release which compliments his fast aggressive style
@StickTalk87 күн бұрын
It is perfect for his play style, I’m surprised he switched off it to be honest

Have you heard anything about the curve Brayden Point Eyssimont and Gallagher use?
@StickTalk8Күн бұрын
It’s such an interesting curve to me, pretty much flat until an absolute hook at the toe with zero rocker. Will definitely be in my lineup of videos soon
@theohoppe5581Күн бұрын
@@StickTalk8 awesome man, would love to see that. I have never been able to get my hands on one. Keep up the great videos, there is definitely a bigger audience for this kind of content than one would think.

I've been using the PRO29 from ProStock as my primary for like a year. Didn't really feel good at home or during warm ups, but from the first game, hands were noticeably better. Caught passes, dangle, etc.I don't know what it is, maybe the low lie and less rocker, but I keep going back to it.
@MultiCameron37 күн бұрын
That’s a lie 6.5 though right?
@wheelsupbardown7 күн бұрын
@MultiCameron3 the pro29 from prostock is about a 5. I think the p71 is actually closer to a 6 like the p88.
@StickTalk87 күн бұрын
The pro29 is a 6.5 which is pretty high but it is a super fun curve to use, not surprised that you enjoyed using it. I might have to get it on one of his new models

@@StickTalk8 you're right. I was thinking pro21!

Wonder what you think? I think the original Malkin (J. Hughes uses it now, I think Malkin switched back) should be the true P88 replacement. It’s identical, closed face but with a last 1/3 having a bent toe/pocket. The P71 or MacKinnon should be the no rocker alternative to the P28, for ppl that really like the quick snappers or sort of body facing the net shots. Great reviews man. Keep it up.
@Pivizi8 күн бұрын
Hughes switched to the zegras recently.
@derekk58 күн бұрын
Didn’t know that! I think Quinn did too. I know alot of guys are. Mcdavid switched BACK to his OG curve. It was interesting seeing that.
@StickTalk88 күн бұрын
I think either the pro71 or the p71 would be a great p88 replacement and then introduce the zegras as another retail curve to bridge the gap between a p92 and a p28. Also I think L. Hughes is still using the p88 J. Hughes uses the malkin pro and then Quinn is using the zegras which is pretty cool
@derekk58 күн бұрын
I’ve been using the Zegras. I like it a lot. There’s really no down side to switching to it from the P92. My issue is (like with any a bit more open face) is I tend to miss my mark high. I’m trying to get rid of my old man heel toe release. Tough to break the habit after 30 years…. For the most part I’m fine, but I just reordered Gepetto’s VF Pro71. When I use that I feel like no matter the release type I use, I can’t miss high.
@allsports138 күн бұрын
I’m just about to order this curve BUT hoping it’s closer to a P28 than a P88? Hated the Kane curve
@StickTalk88 күн бұрын
It’s definitely closer to a p28, there might be an image of the curve time stamped I think but it’s pretty much throwing a closed toe curve on a p88 blade shape
@zb57153 күн бұрын
Do you prefer this over the P86?

I prefer the p86
