Dry Onion Soup
Ingredients:
¼ cup dried onion flakes
2 tablespoons low-sodium beef bouillon granules
¼ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon parsley flakes
⅛ teaspoon celery seed
⅛ teaspoon paprika
⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
Directions:
Stir the onion flakes, beef bouillon granules, onion powder, parsley flakes, celery seed, paprika, and black pepper in a bowl.
This recipe makes 2 packets of dry onion soup mix.

Excellent!! Recently diagnosed celiac. Sadly, there are SO many snacks I can no longer have. Potato chips are OK, but I was disappointed to find all powdered onion soup has wheat! I love chips and dip a few times a year. Going to try this!!!

What brand of bouillon have you found without MSG? I have never found one. They usually have it masked by calling it yeast extract it any number of other names, but it is the same thing.

After reading my Lipton soup mix label, I realize there’s no beef in it. Of course I thought it doesn’t claim to be beef onion soup. So why do we all put beef bouillon in our DYI recipes?

1st ingredient was 1/4 cup onions then later in the video you said 1/4 top onions powder. I'm confused. Sorry I'm new st this.

The recipe is written out in the video description above. Dried onion plus Onion Powder are both used. My recipe is identical with the addition of 1/4 tsp Sugar, 1/8 tsp Garlic powder, 1/8 tsp Smoked Sea Salt, 1/4 tsp Soy Sauce POWDER. If you can't find the powder, (I find it on the Canadian amazon site), and your recipe has liquid, put a dash of soy sauce in.

Lipton/Knorr doesn't put as much soup mix in the package as back in the old days. Lacks much dried onion that it used to and not as much mix overall. Cutbacks are horrid these days.
