Long story short, the Tyrannosaur would absolutely thrive in those regions of North America that lacks the extreme cold. . . . I wonder how prehistoric human interaction would go down.

Nicely put, indeed no T.rex fossiles have been found in Alaska. T.rex would easily dominate the American lands even with the cold. The Frenchman formation in Canada has yeilded fossiles of T.rex, Triceratops, Torosaurus, Edmontosaurus, Pachycephalosarus and more. Therefore, T.rex in the northern part of its range lived with winter snow at least sometimes depending on humidity levels. It seems we would cooperate with T.rex as it would have been far easier to take down Mammoths and Mastodons with a T.rex around. Much like how people have used Eagles to hunt especially in Mongolia.

The gompother genus Cuverionis and another recently described species of mastodon known as the Pacific mastodon also lived in North America as well.
@tyrannotherium7873Ай бұрын
Personally I think that it would hunt the larger animals but it would not adapt well because North America was very warm back then in the late Cretaceous
@WilliamLovell-oh1rbАй бұрын
It'd probably multiply to a terrifying extent and massacre it's own food source, killing all the mega herbivores.
@EliadMazariegos8 күн бұрын
The great variety of egg eaters would help prevent this from happening, sooner or later the ecosystem would most likely stabilize

T rex bout to find out that giant elephants will take grudges and learn it the hard way once a herd of Columbian Mammoths raid a nest
@TyrannoxEditzzYTАй бұрын
do that and those elephants are gonna loose more of their herd
@justinianthegreat1444Ай бұрын
@TyrannoxEditzzYT eh, a herd of like 5 huge columbian mammoths with their intelligence and unfamiliar vocalization would be enough to body a lone t rex. T Rex isn't a god that can't be intimidated or killed. A herd of intelligent herbivores mobbing it would either result in death or crippling injuries. Rex isn't invincible and so many Cenozoic mammals can damage it or outright make it run
@TyrannoxEditzzYTАй бұрын
@@justinianthegreat1444 I know but remember that trex likely lived in pairs due to a male and female trex being discovered together and the female is pregnant so the herd would have to deal with 2 of them
@justinianthegreat1444Ай бұрын
@@TyrannoxEditzzYT a pair would still get mobbed by herd of mammoths that weigh similar to the largest rexes and are at 14 feet tall at the shoulder. No predator be it as large as a rex would be insane enough to stand up to a huge herd of herbivores of the same weight class with the intent to attack or harm. They'd be sent running and it gets even worse if it's a bull in musth
