Easy! 6x6xpi (pi is just over 3) --> 6x6x3 = 108 so it is more than 108 so 113 is the answer

Very easy question toapproximate. Equation to find area of a circle is pi r², so 6² is 36. using an approximation of 3 for pi, 36 times 3 is 108 therefore the answer is 113.

Pi x (radius x radius) … Pi being 3.14 x (6x6)= 113 🤷

it's not the easiest to work out in this format but the fact they don't know πr^2 is pretty bad

Twinkle twinkle little star, circumference equals 2 *pi*r. And then I always remember you move the two to the other side, move it up and make it small for area. Same way I learned it when I was 10.

I can’t believe I didn’t remember! Lol I got an A in my gcse but only got as far as diameter being double the radius and multiply something by pi 🤦‍♀️

Argh. If the radius is 6m that means the diameter is 12m....so 12 X 12 is 144 with ...er...like the round corner bits chopped off so I'm going to say 113 sq m. I got it right. I knew pi had something to do with this but tbh that really didn't help. I just sort of used common sense. Mathematics and me were never the best of friends.
