Why use a barrel to test the motor? You can buy a set of water headphones that clamp on over the inlet ports and just hook it up to a garden hose so no splashing of the water because it just runs away on the ground! Much easier!

If your water pressure isn’t strong enough it can overheat the engine. Marinas tend to use barrels to flush motors too.

@@nickrutter6875 Although this is true, barrels can cause more cavitation which is not wanted as well... the best is to actually bring it in the water.

@@PunkR0ckz09 I’m talking for purely flushing the engine at the end of the season. To winterize the motor it’s the best method. You can’t winterize the motor in the water with fogging oil. You’ll never make it to the ramp.
