Guys - I'm getting real old, but gunna have to start climbing for some runs. I'm scared of that. Can someone explain how climbing is done in hard boots? There is no angle flex, I am presuming that its just hard slow work - am I missing something?

@@mettflow2648 depends on the boots. i have 1500g boots that are basically resort boots with "token walk mode" and touring inserts, i'd hate to bootpack anything more than 5-10 minutes in those. but my 1200g (and previous lighter boots) boots, i can walk 20km in them, booting extended periods, even doing basic mixed climbing in em is totally fine. just gotta get the right gear for your style of climbing/skiing
