Im about 3 months in and split maybe 2 cords with mine. I feel about the same way. If its easy splitting wood, its really nice to swing and I also really like the handle. (Its grippy when wet, but not enough to tear up your hands) I usually pair it with an Adler super splitter to break the big stuff up, then switch to the axe
