Unafraid to hold institutions to account, Mayoral Candidate, Aontú Limerick City North Representative, and Chairperson of Rhebogue Residents Association, Sarah Beasley, reveals the initial investigations into University of Limerick's student housing overspend were sparked by diligent members of the association. Despite raising concerns ranging from Knotweed issues to illegal planning; requests for help and assistance from councillors, TDs, and Limerick City and County Council were met with silence.
Now that the issue has gained public attention, everyone, including the Taoiseach, is eager to get involved.
The question remains: Where were they when the residents needed their support to prevent this situation? - Nowhere to be found.
